Totally OT: Beachwear poll

Well, I guess it would depend on my companions and the type of beach. For example if I take my son to Lake Michigan it''s probably going to be a tankini. Even if I take my fiance it is likely to be a tankini or a halter style 2 piece. I once wore #1 to the Lake Michigan beach to make my fiance happy...I am not a small on top girl...and people''s heads were literally spinning around to look at me. I felt very weird about that. But if we go to Florida beaches I can wear #1 and no one notices...the geographic change makes a big difference!

Now, on #10. My fiance "surprised" me with a trip to Black''s beach in La Jolla. The view from the top was breathtaking...looking over the glider port was sublime. Then he suggests we go down the steep trail to the ocean. Boy, was I in for a shock. At the bottom of the trail was a bunch of naked people...mostly men...middle aged men at that. We walked along the ocean up the beach...me keeping my eyes mostly averted. By the time we got to the women (the beach is mostly split into gay and hetero), I was noticing an interesting thing...most people (not all) looked a little better/thinner without their bathing suits on...because there was nothing breaking the line of skin or stretching across the body.

I have tried to find a one-piece that fits me but the smallest sizes are too short in the body.

I have the same problem - long in torso. They make those swimsuits so short! But, I''ve found a brand that is specifically long in torso - longitudes - I think they are called.

I had a situation where my 2 piece got misplaced.

Since then, I like the comfort of a one piece that stays in place.

haha speaking about #10..in Tahiti the beaches are topless...so after the first day of sitting there looking around, Greg convinced me I didn''t want to be the ''prudish American''..so I went topless. It was really hard to do...I felt totally self-conscious and wouldn''t leave my recliner without my top...but at least my tan was the most even it''s ever been and I tried something ''new''.

Greg likes to tell *everyone* this story about this teenage kid that was walking down the beach and almost walked into my recliner because he was staring at me.....now that is embarassing! But for the most part people acted natural around the topless women...maybe because it was more natural!

I''d say between #1 & #2..........I have nothing on top and need some bigger coverage bottoms. I even wore my bikini a few weeks ago and let the pregnant belly hang out. I have maternity tankinis but just can''t go without my bikini!! Oh don''t forget the juicy terry dress as a MUST for coverup

THat''s a nice one-piece! There'' s a lot of one pieces that are VERY VERY sexy, and not conservative at all. In fact the ones posted on this thread are raunchier than most of my #2 type suits. Mine are mostly black, navy, mocha, brick (dark, solid colors).

I have tankinis but I actually think a nice one piece makes the most of my shape, which is very curvy with bust & hips proportioned and a smaller waist. I like shirring and low cut v necks over halters. I tend to buy Gottex suits.
