I am making enquiries with gem sellers regarding a RHR for my big 50!. I fell in love with Isabelle''s tiffany Legacy and would like to do a similar piece using green or golden stones.
One merchant has some Afghani Mint Toumaline that looked lovely and are the right size 2.5.
He has also recommend a Mali Garnet that looks stunning.
Thoughts on having a tourmaline would be appreciated.
I would like a sapphire or tsarovite but I think these are getting beyond my budget as the setting would be over $4000
Ok layoff the truffle butter duly noted Harriet!Date: 3/10/2008 12:55:03 AM

Ellen you need to *tell* your DH what you want. I live by the adage ''if you don''t ask you don''t get'' and I seem to get what I want.
Linda I am excited about turning 50 because I feel only 30 lol. Turning 60 on the other hand may make me feel pretty crumby I think
Isabelle I have basicly decided on the Tourmaline either mint or blue green. I am now curently getting quotes for settings and the trying to find a stone. I hope to pick the completed project up in the USA in August.
Yes harriet and we had to pull a few strings to get in in May even though we booked in December!Date: 3/10/2008 1:13:13 AM
