I actually looked at it once - a few days after it was set up. Seemed pretty dull at the time.

I have not been back since - but it is on my list of forums to check on now and again (someday when I have nothing better to do than lounge around and check out things).

imho the only way to evaluate that stone is in person, trade or consumer.
In this case I would advise someone considering it to discuss it in detail with the vendor while the vendor is looking at the diamond.
Then if that goes well to view it in person.

As regards (consumer) members, is the (completely voluntary) allowance of ID'ing information (e-mail address, personal website or blog, etc.) in our profiles and/or post(s) being considered by Admin?

This is not something we are considering right now. However we are considering bringing back direct messaging where you could share personal information at your discretion. That way you can share with who you want and we can know that no lurkers are getting information they should not have.

Would it be possible to universal sticky the suggestion box? That might make people more likely to post general suggestions there instead of here.
