Selkie,

That will be beautiful!!! I love the setting.

Selkie, what lovely treasures. They are really pretty. I like your plans for them too.

Ya know Selkie, it would be interesting to see if someone could make a replica of that Green Lake pendant, but with the ability to switch out the center stone..Perhaps with a screw in bezel or some sort of pins that click into place?

Very pretty - what are the dimensions?

I love that pendant design BTW.

That, my dear, is utterly brilliant. I wonder...

The tsavorite is 6mm, 1.03 ct. The sapphire was 1.23 before being recut but I think it''s under 1ct now, probably about 5.7mm.

Selkie you take some of the best pics!!! The gems are beautiful!

Very Nice Stones...

Was wondering where you got the sapphire recut. I see that you went to the Santa Monica Gems show...so I guess that means you are in the LA area. I am too and am trying to find someone that I can use for my recutting. TIA

Hi COT-I had it cut by this guy: John Miller. He was referred to me by Ray Elsey of Tradeshop in WA. He''s not local though. However, the shipping wasn''t a big hassle and IIRC, he got it done in less than two weeks (though this was several years ago now, and my memory is hazy.)

Now, that''s a Nice tsav ! !

Selkie,

That is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! It is lovely, I really lovely. That is a different setting correct? Didn''t you say you purchased an Estate setting for it? I like this one better!!! It is breathtaking.

It''s beautiful!!!

What happened with the other setting that you posted?

This setting is by Van Craeynest (851). It's 18k WG with four 5 point diamonds and carved roses. It's SO intricate and pretty, just like all the other VC pieces I've seen.

The filigree setting I posted was actually a bit too large for the tsavorite. I have another stone that might fit it, or I might wait a while until I find just the right stone.

Looks so great with your WB.
Simply marvelous!

That looks AMAZING!

Congratulations on your new green baby!

What a beautiful tsavorite!!!!

Well-cut tsavorites are hard to come by - yours looks fantastic. I love that setting too. Congrats!!

Very pretty ring. Gotta soft spot for VC, too!

Enjoy!!!

Thank you, everyone!

Swimmer, I like how it looks with my band too. Compared to my e-ring, which is super low-set, it feels very high on my hand. That, and the softness of the stone, mean I won''t be wearing this everyday as a RHR.

Pandora, it''s all your fault!

You and the Pokey Special got me addicted to tsavorites, especially the more saturated greens.

Harriet, I had the zircon set in a simple Stuller bezel setting, but I''m not thrilled with the workmanship on it. The sapphire is still loose, and will probably remain so for a while, since this ring sort of ate up my fun money for a bit.

Skippy, yep, it''s VC 851.

Oh Selkie! It''s so lovely! The setting is perfect for your green beauty!

Gorgeous rings, Selkie! I love them all!

Selkie, your tsavorite ring is stunning!!! I''m so happy it''s finally set and ready and there is a happy ending to the shipping mishap. It''s so beautiful!! I just love the delicate detail on the setting and the stunning chrome color of the tsav! You have quite the collection of gorgeous colored stones.

Gorgeous! A suitable home for a lovely stone!

Selkie,

oh my, it''s gorgeous!!! i love that setting for it, adds some beautiful details but lets that tsav take center stage, just as it deserves to!
