Under 1ct diamonds

I don''t know the tricks to getting a perfectly clear photograph without any reflections (since my diamond is like a hall of mirrors, it''s impossible! :))

Sorry about the reflections!

but I wanted to share my .91 asscher. (H/VS2) I love the split-prong setting. here ya go!

oh tallie! I agree, the setting is really special.
I notice it seems to be a little tricky to show off an asscher properly.
Your certainly looks fabulous!

thanks! it''s funny though, there have been some significantly smaller stones in this thread (like .5 carat and less!) that seem to make my stone look microscopic! I''ve been really wowed by a lot of these under 1-ct diamonds!

I may as well add my set.

this is my first set. It is a .92 ( thought it was a .75,but recently found the papers that show the weight is .92) OMC diamond set in a channel and prong set semi-eternity ring with matching band. The shank is three sided with prong set rounds on the sides and channel set princess cuts on the top.

The rings are about 1 carat total weight in each.

Here is a picture on my hand. The diamond is an I color and the set is made in 18kt. White gold.

ETA: The diamond was a VS2 and I got a chip on the girdle, so now I am sure it is an SI1 or 2.
Also, I wanted to add that even though the weight is more, the diamond faces up like a .75 round, not like a .92

Here's mine. I recently had it reset because I got tired of the old setting, which was a four prong solitaire. It is a birthday gift from my bf, and I wear it as an RHR.

ETA: It's 0.88 carats, F, VS2.

Hello,

I''ve been a lurker for awhile. I don''t have a huge diamond to show off, so I am coming out of lurkerdom for this thread!

My engagement ring belonged to my husband''s late grandmother. It was given to her before he went away to war. It has a lot of sentimental value and I think it is very beautiful. I am not sure of the size. It has had some work done on it. It is white gold. That is about as much as I know :-) The actual ring in the photo includes only the center stone. There is a wrap around it--I needed one to protect the delicate setting and let it fit flush against my wedding band (bottom).

Well I just joined so I figured I''d go ahead and put my bling up

Here''s the details:
Leo Round Brilliant .95 ct
Clarity si2
Color H
Setting 14kt White gold - Size 6
Side Stones are all si2 and H
Total Weight 1.75

Now that I''ve read this forum I see that I could''ve gone lower on the color/clarity and gotten a bigger diamond that was still beautiful. Also, I''d rather gone with Platinum because of the upkeep with the replating of the white gold. Wish I''d known all this before I bought my ring hehe OH well I can upgrade when I''m older for an anniversary For a starter ring I think we did just fine hehe Let me know what you think.

that''s a gorgeous ring Angie-I think it looks bigger than a .95

WOW Mrs Reed!!!!

I am SOOO in love with your set!!! I love the prongs/fancy bevel that is holding the center diamond and your wedding band is to die for!!! So beautiful and unique and so extra special that it has so much family history with it!!!

Butterfly--What a nice, simple set! I love it!

And Anchor, I Love your Berry Picture. I think your ring is so unique and pretty!

Thank you for the compliments! I love it so much... And my FI can''t stop looking at it either! He worked very hard to be able to give me this ring (very big and expensive to local standards) and he''s very proud of it.

I finally got around to taking photos of my rings. It''s .47 center and .71 total. It''s an older ring (1940-1950) and is not a modern round brillant, but I''m not entirely sure what catagory it fits into.

Better, but further away.

Another.

The band in the last three photos isn''t actually mine, it''s a loner. I usually wear my white gold engagement ring on my right hand and either my 1920s platinum filigree band or my very modern 3mm titanium band on my left hand. But my fingers have swollen (they change a whole size between summer and winter) so I''m cheating and wearing my e-ring on my left hand with a loner ring.

My actual rings - 3 different metal type, I love it!!
