Lesco, your ring is stunning. What do you think you will get for your wedding band?

Oh, thank you so much, I really appreciate that.

About wedding bands, that is a good question. I think I will first invest in a nice, clean, somewhat thin and plain plat band. I would like to have something I can wear when I just want to be a "tomboy". Eventually I would love to get a matching band to my e-ring so I can stack the three of them together.

I still have some time to decide, I guess I will try a bunch.

After 33 years, I''ve finally truly upgraded my original e-ring. Original engraved e-ring set, purchased 1975, with 0.18 ct "A+" diamond set in 14 k yellow gold. Size 6 1/2, shown here on my pinky.

Same setting, resized to 7 1/2, now set with a 0.63 ct E VS2 ISEE2 diamond from Good Old Gold. It has medium blue fluor.

Side by size shot of the two diamonds. Earlier this year I had the 0.18 ct reset as an accent stone to my 4.1 ct aquamarine pendant.

Thanks for looking!

I''ve been wearing these for 9.5 - 11.5 years (e-ring, w-band, anniversary band)... so my memory may be a little faulty.

I believe specs are... ring size 4.5
E-Ring mix of white/yellow gold
Emerald Cut .54ct, VVS1 G colour?
2 Tapered Baguettes on each side (.1ct each)

W-Band mix of white/yellow gold

A-Band mix of white/yellow gold
Rectangular baguettes (.15ct each)

They are currently with my jeweler getting reset into 19kt white gold (white gold/palladium)... I can''t wait to see the final results.

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of them... didn''t even think of taking pics before I sent them off... so dirty rings/diamonds will have to do.

Okay... how do I attach a picture???

Trying again... it looks like it's on my right hand because it was taken with iPhoto on the laptop.

Fly Girl, who made your original setting--that gold has such a cool texture!

My original engagement ring, I still have it, I just don't wear it as I now have a white gold one.

It is a 1/3 carat diamond set in 4 claw 18ct gold. I am of "larger proportions", so my ring size is Q 1/2...around size 8 in U.S

Coati - We purchased the rings at Morel Jewelers in Minneapolis 33 years ago. The jewelry store disappeared years ago. We liked the bark-like texture, too. That and the N-S:E-W head gave a simple solitaire a little bit of zip. Thanks.

seeing these rings make me excited, jealous and nervous.

I''m still a year away from popping the question (with a date set) but I''ve decided to do the ring soon (for various reasons).

I promise to post the ring when it''s done.
