Venti25 - Could you please post more pictures of the .6 H in the James Allen halo? I've been eyeing that setting, but I want to see how high it sits off the finger. I prefer more low profile settings, but I just love this one.

All of your rings are beautiful!

Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't really notice the height when I'm wearing the ring if you're worried about that, however that being said I have dinged it a couple times when I first got it and one of the prongs has become a little wonky which you can see in the second photo (my fault!).

I will say that the white gold halo looks better than the yellow..mainly because there's less metal showing (same tcw in halo but larger circumference) so keep that in mind if you're getting a larger diamond!

Show pics when you get yours!

Thanks for posting the additional pictures. Really helps! It is higher than I really like. However, I do like that the diamond sits lower in the setting.

Ring size for the engagement ring is 5.75; the wedding band is slightly larger - probably ~6.0-6.5
Center stone is .72 ct, VS2, H. Total weight for the engagement ring is 1.11 ct.
Don't know the total weight of the wedding band; it's two rows of 7 melee-sized diamonds.
Both rings are in platinum. The band is a family heirloom.

I definitely think this is one of my faves from the "under 1 ct diamonds" posts. Just beautiful.

Hello all,

This is my recent upgrade.
Center stone: .70 RB, E color, SI1
Side stones: .40, D, VS1
.38, D, VVS1
Wedding band is my original band, Oscar Heyman channel set, .15 tcw, E, VVS1.

Finger size 3.75

The .38 is my original e-ring stone, picked solely by my DH 14 years ago, set in a simple 4-prong platinum solitaire.

When I asked to look at new settings, it turns out DH was attached to the diamond but not at all to the setting, but wanted me to have a 1 carat. Knowing myself, I knew I'd never do something else with the original stone, so I started down the 3-stone path. I decided on the .70, disliking anything bigger on my fingers. After three months I am still adjusting to the wider finger coverage and heavier top (especially on cold days!) and miss my solitaire from time to time. I love still having my original stone, which he put so much thought and care into selecting way back when.

Thanks! I love this place ;)

Oh it's gorgeous, I love the finger coverage and the blinginess!! And I love how it looks with your wedding band - it looks amazing on your hand!

Hi! I could only lurk and drool for so long without sharing my own sparkly. 0.71, J, EX, somewhere in the SI range, size 5.5 ring. Simon G "jacket" setting, the rings are separate but need to be put together before I can put them on, as my wedding ring fits inside the engagement ring.

I've got to learn how to take decent photos one of these days!

I forgot my last user name, so I t had to join with a new one :wavey: and thought I'd re-post pics of my .88 E SI1 round brilliant in it's latest setting. It's a look unique to Williamsport, PA. Very practical! I get a lot of compliments on it at my job - a mom and pop jewelry store ;-)

That last one was a pic from the store. Below are pics of my actual .88 ring. This was a 23rd anniversary gift :appl:

oh sweetpea thats beautiful! i love the yellow gold! i think you should start your own thread!

Thanks, Niel! It was a loooong time in coming. I've had this diamond in three other settings before I saw this one  Thankfully dh is patient and generous! :appl:

I found this setting in nearby Williamsport, PA. It's a look unique to that area. I've wanted one from this "family" for years, since 2006, but never saw the right one til Nov 2011. That's because it was only designed summer 2011 by a goldsmith with Petros Jewelry in Williamsport. I was about to have my favorite local jeweler put it into a plain bezel within my 4mm wedding band when I came across this one on the net!

I don't know what I'd say on my own thread. But I did want to be part of this one, to show how lovely under 1 carats can be!

You don't have to say anything but it'll give more people a chance to see your beautiful ring. Plus its easier to find your ring when people are googling if it has a descriptive title.
