Under 1ct diamonds

Here''s my new .55ct J/SI1 ideal round from WF. People don''t believe me when I tell them it''s only .55ct. Now I want to upgrade and I''ve had this less than a week!

I wear a size 6 but I like my rings looser so this is a 6 1/2. The band is .75cwt. I ordered a round shared prong band from Signed Pieces. It should be here around May 9.

I''ve been meaning to post this one. It''s a Mauboussin ''Dream & Love'' ring w/ a .50ct rb center.

This advert is from ''L''Officiel'', a French fashion magazine. From what I''ve noticed, under 1ct centers(if any diamonds at all) seem most popular there.

Oooo I love that design Kay. Hmmmmmmmmmm

I love it..it''s stunning

Here''s my new rings -- I upgraded the 0.55ct for a 0.724ct J/SI1 ideal cut round from Whiteflash. The eternity band is a 1.07cwt round shared prong band from SIgned Pieces. I love my new set!

I think all the rings on this thread are beautiful!

Jellybean I adore your new upgrade! Congrats!

Yes I agree..you upgrade is fabulous. I''m glad you are enjoying it.

Personally, I think anything over 0.5 carat looks pretty sizable.

This is my 0.747carat, IF, E color.

It sits nicely on my tiny fingers and I absolutely LOVE it!

Hi Snowball,
I love the design of your ring!! Was it custom made? It''s sooo lovely.

Hi Ducky,

The ring was not custom made. I purchased it as it is.

It's from The Love Diamond Co. offered by a local jeweller; The Carat Club. You can check out more designs from this range at
www.thecaratclub.com if you're interested.

Cheers`

Hi Snow Ball,

That is a very interesting setting.
I didn''t know that someone has actually came up with the design.
After looking at all the different prong works (double claw, hearts, tulip, etc) that you guys have here on the SMTR page,
I was wondering if it is feasible to have 2 open heats act as a prong :)

Very unique profile.

Snowball, your ring is beautiful. I love the heart detail on the side.

Here''s mine (hopefully she likes it too). It''s a .89 F-VS2 in a Michael B Petite Princess.

Thought I''d add my sparklies to the list!

My original wedding ring was a 14k WG/YG 2 tone which held a 0.52ct G / SI1 "60/60" stone. This stone was reset by Superbcert / Excel Diamonds into a Vatche 3 stone setting with baguettes, which is now my right hand ring. The original tension-look setting is now empty, and I am considering getting our daughter''s birthstone (peridot - August baby!) for it.

Obtained an upgrade ring - a 0.74ct D / SI1 ideal cut from Superbcert and had it set into an A. Jaffe setting.

Here''s the link to the old stone / new Vatche setting thread.

And here is the new stone in the Jaffe setting.

Here''s my cousin''s new e-ring. Center diamond is a 0.84ct E, VS2; setting is 0.25cwt bead set diamonds. She just got it on the 4th of July. It looks huge on her b/c she wears a size 4!

I thought I would update this thread, The custom ring I had made a few pages back didn''t work for me. This is still my .52 diamond.

This thread is wonderful and everyone has suvh pretty rings.

I''m just starting out on looking into various shapes, sizes and settings for rings and this is so helpful.

I have roughly size 6 fingers which around these parts seems really big. i honestly can''t imagine how teeny a 3.5 finger must be??? anyway, i''m really interested in looking at hand shots of people with about the same size. does anyone know if there already is such a thread?

thanks for all your help. PS is great!
