Under 1ct diamonds

Mrsj, your ring turned out beautifully, what a gorgeous set! :appl:

Your AVR is stunning mochiko! Can't wait to see it set!

This is my new .61 carat RB in a Danhov tension setting. I originally had it in a 1.5 mm four prong setting, but fell in love with the tension setting!20140606_190839_2.jpg

Oh wow, this is pretty! I really like the size of the melee with your diamond, blingy but not overpowering - it's perfect on you!

Thanks junebug! :D for reference those are 3 points each, 5 on each side so 0.3 ctw

Great additions!!

Hi all! New lurker and even newer member, creeping out to introduce my vintage emerald cut engagement ring, circa 1940s.

Center stone is ~.47 G SI1, side baguettes are ~.10 each, for a grand total of .67 carats estimated! All set in 900/Ir plat.

Ring size is 4.5-5, depending on the weather.

Looking classic with some good old red nail polish.

Looking GINORMOUS by the light of my desklamp.

Vampira, you are my hero. I love your username, ring, nails, everything.

Cheers from a fellow emerald cut owner (.49ct, estate, plat., T. & Co.).

Thanks, orangesocks! Good to meet another half carat EC fan! :wavey:

I did worry at first because I'd read a lot of posts from people saying that step cuts were best appreciated at the 1+ carat mark, but that wasn't a size I was comfortable wearing everyday... and I needed an EC with tapered side baguettes, haha! I was lucky enough to find this little cutie for the right price, and I still get plenty of fun, bold flashes of light from it. Nice things come in all sizes, after all, and I love this thread as well as the big showstopping-size ones!

I completely agree on all fronts! This size is the most I'm comfortable with given my occupation and the fact that I never want to take my ring off (if at all within reason, of course). I also love emerald cuts because I think they're classic yet subversive at the same time. ;))

Here is my upgrade a 0.73ct I/VS2 OEC! So happy with how it turned out, totally over the moon! It's essentially the same as before just with a bigger diamond (previous diamond size 0.39ct).
