Unique, interesting, or just plain odd stones...Post them here!

That is weirdly attractive, lol

I can't work out what cut it is - it's like the started to cut a cushion but then decided to not bother doing two sides of the pavilion!

@tyty333 I usually hate radiants, but the 2nd one you posted with the H&A type pattern is gorgeous. And the first one is TDF as well. Anything reminiscent of a criss cut will always interest me.

Found this one on JA labeled as an emerald (I love finding odd diamonds that are tricky for them to categorize). Looks like an antique asscher to me and it's super pretty.

I already posted this. And I would get it for myself if I had some cash.
I think it is better than 95% of the stones marketed as "old cut" out there.

I’m secretly hoping you might share the parameters you used to find this beauty....:shifty:

@flyingpig You didnt happen to request the report on that stone posted above and still have it laying around?

I just excluded GIA Ex Cut as a stone like this would never qualify for Ex cut grade.

Good to know - thanks! I’ve tried the same search and haven’t come upon any others. That was a great find for sure.

I thought this was quite interesting:

That's a cool shape! Reminds me of a spider web!

I actually want this.
Crazy scintillation.
No leakage.

Is that one of those cuts with more facets than a standard MRB?

Would be interesting to see an ASET of it!

I think it is just ultra long LGL.

Looks like Zales Celebration 102.

Upon closer look, it has extra facets on the crown and maybe on the pavilion side as well. I thought it was celebtration 102, but the facetting is a bit different.

I have one, I know it has a round table. Will post pic of it maybe tomorrow as I am at work.
