Blingdiva, I know you love that ring but in the last picture doesn''t it look a little, um, suspect?? Might it be a repro she wears in public??

How can you tell? I always find it facinating that some of you can look at a photo and get the idea that something isn''t real. (I hope that''s not coming off as sarcastic, I really want to know!) For instance, a thread a while back about an ebay ring where someone knew for sure right away that it was junk. I''m always like, "huh? looks alright to me!"

I don''t *know* for sure ... but I think what i''m responding to in that picture is a shallowness, a glassy quality, a kind of dull, over clear, plasticky look. Compare that ring with, say, Heidi Klum''s canary diamond -- with its crisp intense sparkles in every shot that ever gets take of it. Or Eva Longoria''s EC ... Just something about the face of that other stone is weird to me. Maybe I''m not used to seeing them so BIG though ... *shrug*.
