Seems like celebs need to outdo each other on diamond size. Too bad the marriages don't last. I wonder if there is any statistic on diamond size and length of celeb marriage? It would seem there would be a correlation between need to be showy and divorce rate among the celebs. When you get to 8-10 cts it all seems tacky fake.

To me that looks like an antique cushion ... moonstone? I don't know if I've ever seen a diamond photograph like that. I'd applaud if she decided to buck the trend with a non-diamond e-ring.

Everyone said it was an EC, but from the recent pictures, I agree that it really looks like an antique cushion or rose cut even. I'd love to see more pix though!!!

Completely agree with you! I'm pretty sure that Jennifer Aniston's was designed by Lorraine Schwartz (correct me if I'm wrong) who also designed Beyonce's ring and Blake Lively's- all GIGANTIC stones.. too big!!!!

Ugh I really feel like all celeb rings are just huge white blobs at the moment! No individuality, nothing colourful, nothing unique... as long as it covers your entire finger and is white - who cares?

Yes, the Salahi stone is supposedly an oval. As per the internet:
The engagement ring Schon presented to Salahi on stage features an 11.42-carat oval diamond with a value pegged at more than $1 million.
TMZ reported that Schon was so nervous about losing the ring or having it stolen that he had it transported to his Baltimore Hotel just before the show in an armored vehicle.

I agree- I want to see more pix! I like the simplicity of the setting and the YG is a nice change from the white metals.. Just not sure what I think about the cut of the stone. I wish we had more details on it.

Salahi's oval cut looks weird to me. It looks like an oval in the center and set in a 'halo'. I wonder if the 11+ carat is TCW and not the center stone? I wonder if the designer has a picture on her website.
Jennifer's ring is not my first choice (That would go to Kim Kardashian's emerald cut whopper ). It looks dull to me-but I am sure it is not. Are rose cuts prettier when smaller? Interestingly, she is wearing it on her right hand and not her left. Perhaps a eternity wedding band is in the works...
