Hi all,

I've been engaged for almost two years now (it's a long one, I know ~) and I am thinking of a small upgrade.
Where I live, and within my circle, my current 1.01 ct already has a "presence" and is quite substantial.. personally though I think a 1.25 ct (7mm) will be my perfect size.

My fiancee agreed but we decided to keep it to a reasonable cost, and I want to keep it to the original price we paid for my current diamond. My plan will be:
* stay with F color
* Go down on clarity (but still eye clean)
* no fluorescence
* stay with HCA < 2 (ex,ex, ex, ex/vg?),
* stay with GIA XXX, hearts and arrows.

Since I am on a budget, I hope someone more experienced can give me an idea if I will need to replace my prongs considering my upgrade from a 1.0 (6.4 mm) to a 1.25 ( 7mm). If so, do you think my type of prong will be a hard one to duplicate / will be costly?

I LOVE my setting very much, and will be happy if there will be limited adjustment to the setting (possibly still keeping original one).

Thanks so much in advance! :)

what's the budget??

Gorgeous ring! I don't think they can stretch the prongs that far...maybe they can put on a new head??? Someone will come along soon who can better answer!

We are thinking within 8000- 9000 (new stone set).
I am more concerned on the setting though. Do you think that setting will hold a 7 mm?

You really need to ask your jeweler about they. Although it looks like a peg head which could easily be changed out...but check with your jeweler.
