Did you get the spinels? Are they as purrty in person as they were in the pic? Did you buy a camera yet? I am a suffering spinelaholic and I need a fix.

Oh my, Matata. What an avatar!

Yes, I''ve had the spinels for nearly 6 weeks now. They are so beautiful in person. In bright light, they are a flashy red, and in dim lighting, they are the colour of blood. It sounds kind of gross but I love them in a gothic way.

I haven''t the chance to buy the camera as yet.

I just plunked down a tidy sum for hubby''s home entertainment system as his birthday gift and I also installed (hooked everything up, wiring and all) it myself over the weekend. So, sorry, no new pictures. Plus, I haven''t been home for several weeks too. Been working away from home. Boo hoo.

On the good side, or bad side (it all depends on how you look at it), I''ve been shopping at ACS again and took advantage of her special August Anniversary sale to purchase a concave cut pear shaped aqua and a flower shaped pink tourmaline. Wanna see the pictures?

Oh my, Matata. What an avatar! Yesssss, I turned from sweet innocence to a wanton harlot when I lost out on a pair of red spinels.

Me too, me too -- love that color -- doesn''t sound gross to me at all, sounds just perfect.

Ok, how about a compromise....is there a PSer who lives near you who can take pictures. I''m desperate here, have mercy on my soul. Belle, ya want to take a trip?

Ohhhhh, now the devil in you is revealed. Go ahead and tease, I''ll sit here, all alone, by meself, lonely, with no pictures, solo, suffering, hurt by your cruel teasing, did I mention suffering....

Here''s the pink tourmaline.
1.62 ct. 7.7 mm.
Flower shaped round brilliant cut.
This slightly orangey, medium dark pink piece is flawless at 10x. Madagascar origin.

To be honest, I haven''t seen it in person yet because I''m not home to receive it.

And here''s the aqua.
2.59 ct. 8.3 x 12.1 mm
Fancy pear shaped concave cut. Just short of flawless at 10x this exceptionally brilliant piece has medium, very slightly greenish blue color.

Matata,
I think Sevens-One lives about 1.5 hours south of where I am. I certainly would love to meet her someday and talk about blings. That would be so cool!

Drop dead gorgeous. Are you planning to set them? I see a pendant with the pear suspended from the tourm in rose gold. OMG, I''ve made myself dizzy.
