I know! I'm pretty stoked about that. I hope there won't be a huge visual difference. I loved it's performance before. The only aim of the recut was to thicken the girdle enough for my dream setting

OF COURSE I will!! I can't wait to get that naked stone back in my hot little hands! I wouldn't miss the opportunity to get photos and video of her before she's set in her permanent home!

I have been watching the tracking like CRAZY!! It was last updated at 11pm last night saying it was leaving Houston, TX. Of COURSE it's way closer than that now, 16+ hours later, but it hasn't updated with FedEx so I have no idea where! Ugh, I hate that. All I know is it WILL be available for pickup after 12:00 noon tomorrow! We're going to go pick it up together!

Thanks slg! I was SO SO SO pleased with how little was lost. It's not visibly noticeable at all.
I CANNOT WAIT to have it set. I'm SOOO excited to see it completed after all this time and effort.

It's going out in the mail first thing tomorrow morning. Pearlmans should receive it Monday and Sholdt should have it Friday next week at the latest.

Pearlmans said it will take 4-6 weeks to set. I'm HOPING it'll be on the lower end of that (or less) since we're not exactly in prime time for purchasing engagement rings (no major holidays coming up...).

If it's on the short end, we could have it back by mid May, early June!

Thanks star sparkle! I love it so much! I am SOOOOOO excited!!

And slg -- thanks again! The only noticeable difference after the recut is in the profile view. You can see the tiny girdle now! It's no longer 85% Extremely Thin/knife edge. BGD didn't do a full recut at my request. The faceting/checkerboard flashes from this stone was too special...I didn't want to lose it! So he just cut in a girdle which is why we lost so little weight and spread. But it's not safe to set in the Sholdt I adore and we don't have to worry as much about chipping. We're very pleased with the outcome and Lesley and Brian were both wonderful to work with!
