Hi, I am a long time lurker and first time poster. I have a beautiful BGD Signature H&A stone in the Tiffany half round setting. It is a .81, H, VS@. I'm now looking for a wedding band and I'd like some advice. I really want to make the stone pop as much as possible. I've tried on two 2mm bead set bands either side and I really like this look. I also tried on a channel set band which was slightly thicker (maybe 2.5mm). I don't want to buy my band locally though as it's too expensive (I'm in Australia).
So far I really like the Whiteflash bead set channel set band http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-bands/channel-bead-set-diamond-wedding-band-1058.htm,,,, but would get it in a half eternity. I like the look of a shimmer of diamonds like in bead set or pave rather than a shared setting. I also don't want the wedding band to scratch the e-ring. I'm leaning towards getting it from Whiteflash as they have ACA melee, and are less expensive than BGD wedding bands. I don't really want to spend more than $1500 for 18k white gold.
Can anyone suggest any other wedding bands which would really make my diamond pop? Would it look silly to have a 2.5mm wedding band with my thin 2mm e-ring? I don't really want one 2mm band as I feel it looks too fine and dainty, whereas the two bands appealed to me more. I also have no idea what size pointers/melee I should get, I don't want to overwhelm my centre stone.
