Hi everyone!

I have a halo'd ring that has a small donut and have been debating what to do with the wedding band. I have been having mixed feelings about notched or straight bands, and I just came across this one:

I was going to get it made by someone else (not LOGR) in platinum and half eternity.

Does anyone have any experience with such a band? What do you all think about it?

friendly bump.

Any thoughts on the above wedding "band"? Thanks! :twirl:

It would certainly work if you want flush fit rings! It won't work as a stand alone band though. My suggestion is to have two - one that fits your halo and perhaps a plain band or diamond band that you might wear alone when you didn't want to wear your engagement ring.

OP, would you mind linking to the band you posted? I also have a halo with a doughnut and would love a rose gold band like this for now and then, along with all my other trinkets

=)

NVM found it! Wish I could see what this looked like WITH the engagement ring thought...drat!

It does look a little weird as a stand-alone - I'm also afraid that the gap at the top will cause a little "muffin-top" on my finger if it's worn alone.

My thoughts exactly! In case anyone else is looking into this, here is the direct link to the band pictured above: http://www.etsy.com/listing/1898844...=jewelry_mid&gclid=COvO1Y670b4CFUZp7AodykYAPg

The Etsy listing doesn't give quite as much info as LOGR includes in their eBay listing for the same band, where they tell you that the diamonds will be H in color & SI-1

When making a purchase from LOGR (or any of the reputable China-based vendors, like jewelryhoo), think you'd be happier asking for upgraded diamonds; they are good about quickly e-mailing you a price quote revised to reflect the upgrade.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I am familiar with LOGR and the type of quality they provide; I did not intend to purchase that actual band, rather a band "inspired" by it made by someone else :)

My "you" was meant for anyone else who might ever be considering the LOGR, but I'm hoping the you "you" does commission a similar one as I'd really like to see what you've described -- and it's so much fun to spend other people's money :D

Good point! I should have realized what you meant :)

I'm trying to convince FH that this is a brilliant idea, but since my last "brilliant" jewelry idea encountered a pothole on the way to completion, he's a little resistant.

Well, after thinking about it a bit, I may end up seeing what the LOGR w/ upgrade looks like. It's much better to spend a few hundred dollars than many hundreds (maybe thousands) on an experiment.
