I picked up a 0.8 ct G VS2 old cut from ebay for a song and had BGD set it in a bezelled milgrain Barbara pendant for me. Great for everyday wear

Very pretty!!! Neckshot please !!!!! :lickout: :D

Rosetta, your collection is breathtaking    The three stone ring is my favourite one but your original ER is also to.die.for.
Lucky girl...you can play with all those gorgeous toys :appl:

Stunning collection, you are a lucky lady!

thank you to each and everyone of you!

pintobean: muuhahhahahaa you have guessed my evil plan!

Actually the reason for 2 wedding bands for each of us is 3 fold:

1. he wanted to have a ring to wear that was more lightweight (hence the palladium for him)

2. he wanted a ring that was cheaper to wear on travel overseas (pallidium for him, gold for me though with the price of gold shooting up since we got the bands now makes it not a great idea)

3. we had our religious and civil ceremonies on different dates so he has the two dates engraved on different rings (so he can never forget our anniversaries)

ok, so here are some pics of wedding presents coming up....

they are presents so some of them are not to my taste, but they are beautiful nonetheless.

you may have guessed that i am south asian, hence all the yellow gold, traditional styles and jewellery-as-wedding-gifts

next up...

yellow gold, diamond and amethyst necklace and earring set

given to me by my in laws when we got engaged.

these photos were taken by our wedding photographer so are more artistic than detailed shots.

another one

and last one of this set...

next up is a very traditional yellow gold (which is slightly leaning towards rose gold) set

the necklace fits close to the bottom of the neck, like a collar and there are numerous cab rubies and emeralds throughout.

Beautiful!!!!! Earshot and neckshot please !!!! :cheeky:

this set was bought by my parents well before the gold price skyrocketed and would be very expensive to buy now due to sheer weight...

there is some enamel work on these too, very traditional

ygold1.jpg

so sorry frenchgirl, but these jewels have all gone back to the bank vault and i'm afraid i can't get the neck shots right now.

i will take some for you when I next get them out, but that could be a while, as i don't wear them very often.

last one of this set....

ygold2.jpg

this is the only pic of this yellow gold set, with enamel work

unlike the last one, this is a lightweight set and a perfect example of how asian jewellery makers can make a little gold go a long way!

edit: i may be wrong about the enamel, those may be tiny rubies. they were a present from my parents

I'll be back a bit later when I've resized a few more photos to show you some more

Thanks for your continued interest in my jewellery box!

Love this necklace!

You have a lovely collection rosetta, although I have to say I have two favorite pieces. Your new three stone ring (of course) and the piece given to you by your parents. It's just gorgeous!

thank you amysbling and gemgirl, glad you have your favourites!

can i tempt you with some others?

firstly, here is the 3 stone again

3sring.jpg

this is another amethyst set (lighter ammys this time) in intricate yellow gold

another collar necklace and earrings.

the top of the earrings fit over the top of the ears and hook back under the post.

an engagement gift from my parents

ammy1.jpg

the earrings

ammy2.jpg

next up is the little diamond five stone ring my parents gave me when i graduated medical school

it was in the jewellery box on my wedding day

5stone.jpg

diamond pave and pear diamond chandelier earrings

they are very bling!

another present from my parents

pears.jpg

our wedding rings (his platinum band, my 2mm unplated white gold band, and my diamond and platinum band)

wrings3.jpg

wedding present from my in laws, and one of my very favourite and versatile pieces

diamond line necklace, in platinum

i don't know the tcw but the largest stones are over 5mm in diameter so i'm guessing its a significant number

dneck.jpg

diamond earrings, also from my in laws.

i think these are in white gold

i received quite a few bangles, in both white and yellow gold.

i will try to post some of my own photos as well, as these ones aren't terribly clear

first up, a group shot or two

the thicker one here is in both white and yellow gold, with an amethyst border

bangles2sm.jpg

another one

bangles3.jpg

another group shot

bangles4.jpg

I thought I would also post some wrist shots too, excuse the poor quality of these photos

i'm pretty good at squeezing my hands through bracelets, so i get a fairly good fit on the wrist.

here are the two diamond bracelets in yellow gold my in laws gave me, as a present to welcome me into the family

each bracelet is about 8mm thick, with diamonds all around (i would only be guessing the tcw).

they were chosen and bought by a family friend who is a diamond buyer, so the quality is excellent. the bracelets are rather heavy

rosetta,

Those are absolutely gorgeous!!! I really, really wish I can play in your jewelry box........ :naughty:
Thanks for sharing!

here are the 22k yellow gold bangles my in laws gave me as yet another wedding present

these are very heavy indeed and a little too big on my wrists

there are 4 skinny ones, and 2 fat ones and can be worn in a myriad of combinations

i'll come by with another installment either later today or tomorrow

thank you all so much for looking at my collection, even though they are not all diamonds!

:))
