Skippy congrats on the 2 lbs loss!
Mara, happy 3rd anniversary, I bet you will be in heaven at La Fondue, I LOVE fondue! Try not to consume too much melted cheese so you don''t feel ridiculously bloated the next day, LOL!
I''ve been doing mediocre as far as exercise, DH and I have managed to get out the past two nights and walk both dogs for 20-30 minutes, maybe half a mile or so...I''m still pretty swollen from my recent surgery and have to take it somewhat "easy" so no rigorous exercise for moi for another week or two. But it does feel good to get outside and move around a bit and seems to help with the swelling.
I''m still on a blended/pureed food diet, not really liquid but not solids/soft foods much yet, either. It''s hard to read this thread what with all the yummy sounding foods you guys are describing that I can''t chew yet! I''m doing ok still with smoothies and yesterday I made garlic smashed potatoes and pasta salad for DH and managed to get some of that down by taking very small bites (most of which got stuck in my new braces, I had the archwires installed a couple days ago and it''s even harder to deal with everything else going on as far as eating now!)
For inspiration to walk more, though, I did take our little Daisy to Petsmart today and bought her a new collar, leash, and harness to wear on our little walks, she looks so damn cute I could just sop her up with a biscuit, LOL! The collar is hot pink leather with brightly colored daisies with rhinestones in the centers appliqued onto it, and I got her a bright orange leather lead to "match." Even DH liked the combo and I was pleasantly surprised, since when we first got her he specified "no pink collars," ha ha! So I''m looking forward now to getting out for more walks during my time off work and having her be the focus instead of my swollen and bruised face!
