Welp... covid finally got me :(

I hope all who gets sick from this nasty virus recovers quickly and hopefully without too much misery!! hubby currently has it and so far its been more cold symptoms than anything else, he is currently on day 3 of feeling crappy....and he just had his second booster a week before testing positive...ugh, so far me and our adult son who lives with us are still negative as of this morning.

oh dear
best wishes to your hubby
and your son
i was going to get my 2nd booster this week as i booked in annual leave
apart from the tiredness and that i work with food if it wasnt covid i almost feel like i could go to work if i had a nice sit down job and didnt walk to work

how are you doing @diamondringlover ?

Oh no I am so sorry @Daisys and Diamonds and I am wishing you a speedy and easy and full recovery, Big but gentle hugs to you and bucketloads of healing vibes. XOXO

you two might be the last two who havn't had it
in the ,last week it feels like everyone i know who hasnt had it has now caught it
i thought we were going to be clever and not get it at all

how are you mum and dad doing BTW?

thank you
we are both ok
he is sick too
im going to ring the doctor tomorrow to get him the anti virals (of course knowing us its a long weekend but i only got symptoms on friday so he has just enough time)
but hopefully it stays mild
honesty i think i ache more than this on most work days :lol-2:
:lol-2:
sleeping is hard and we were so thirsty in the night but we bearly have a cough and only the hint of a headache
breathing isnt sore but a cough is a bit fleemy
i mean we still feel miserable and very tired but ive had hay fevour 10- 100 times worse than this in the nose blowing dept
so not run over by a truck, maybe just an electric scooter :lol-2:

So sorry to hear you’re both not feeling well. I hope you recover from your Covid really soon!

so far I am fine and so is our son, hubby is getting bored but I still have him banished during the day to the living room with the pocket door closed (we live in a old farm house) and we sleep in separate bedrooms so that is not a issue either and when he leaves the rooms he is in we all have mask's on and I go behind him and wipe everything with sanitizing wipes...yeah I am that anal...lol

it is indeed kinda boring
(even though we dont usually do much anyway)
but then one just gets tired
i need to change Fluffy's dirt box and hang out the washing but i know it will wipe me out

we also have seperate bedrooms (as i snore) but we only have one bathroom

i hope you stay covid free
i feel bad Gary has it when it was me who brought it home
but i honestly thought it was a tiny stuck chicken bone in my throat

Poor Gary! My husband had vertigo..not from Covid..but it was awful to watch! I hope it settles soon!

Let those dishes pile up @Daisys and Diamonds! You can boil them when you’re better!

@diamondringlover and @Daisys and Diamonds -hope you and your loved ones continue to do okay. It finally got me as well despite, as one co-worked described as, being "assiduous" about wearing a mask and no known exposure. I personally know several people who likewise have been careful and gotten it for the first time in the past few weeks. Fortunately, all have been mild to extremely mild cases (which my doctor said is typical in this latest round).

I hope you all feel better soon, to everyone affected by Covid! Got my bivalent booster and flu this month. We are still masking in my family when it is necessary to leave the house for medical appointments and having all groceries and things delivered (my day to day life isn't too different from 2020). My parents and I are all immunocompromised. I ordered take out for the first time in two and a half years when the power went out here, as I had no choice!!! (It was awful, btw, lol, as everyone prefers my organic homemade cooking!!). I am looking forward to the next generation vaccines and hope they can make life more normal at some point, some day. Because I would love to go out to eat again occasionally one day....someday..... Or at least be able to not worry so much about exposure and Long Covid. Sending love to all of those feeling isolated!!!!!

Yes...A reminder that so many are still being impacted and we cant accept things as they stand. Although i understand the need to get on with our lives, I feel conflicted watching the world go on as if it doesn't exist when there are still many at risk who can't. A difficult balance between mental and physical needs. Glad you are doing well taking care of you and yours.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I hope you and your family are well and have a healthy winter! Best wishes to you!
