What are you “cheap” for?

Looking for a short/lightweight summer "robe" for next season, but not cheap enough for me today....LOL...I have one to donate, and new one I like. But I'll wait when summer stuff isn't helpful in -30 c temps (I need cozy inside) and, well, ON sale. But I got some great panT's for a deal. Tossed a bunch--don't want them in a knot!

When I lived in the UK, I had my hair cut and coloured every 5 weeks. Since moving here, I’m colouring my own hair and getting it cut at Great Clips, I’m just not going to spend $$$$ on going somewhere else.

@canuk-gal, I stocked up on undies before we moved here, brought about 80 pairs with me, they should last me a while (Doesn’t mean I won’t buy more when I go back to the UK next year).

No, I don't wear undies. Haven't for about 25 years. Don't miss them at all. I wash my pants every day, and trousers aren't like knickers, in that they don't sit as close to your body, as they don't have elastic that goes around the top of your thigh.

Anyway, I always make sure there's no see-through-ness, and I just take it from there. You get used to it very quickly, and then it's WAY more comfortable. On those rare occasions I do wear undies (dr, flying, etc), I HATE it and it feels very bulky. I feel the same way about wearing jammies to bed; not a fan.

Like everyone here I try to cost cut everyday. Everyday I make conscious decisions re spending money. I Brew my own coffee, try to skip eating lunch out, don’t order alcohol out, rarely eat out, shop sales, do own grooming of hair dye, nails cheap dollar store or drug store make up, etc.I look for cheap gas.
But despite these efforts, this inflation is killing me! Anyone notice how regular things are Getting expensive? Real estate taxes and my village sewer, water, electricity, garbage pick up etc, have gone sky high. The increases did not creep up but shot up.
