I’ve been admiring this one recently....I’m not totally crazy about the rubies in the setting, but I love the size at @16 carats. And, though it’s not blue, it reminds me of a cloud pillow against a blue sky lol. Very ethereal.

The rubies seem like an afterthought. Harsh and discordant amidst the soft white and gold folds!

With a ring this size and soft, it can only be an occasional wear. Might be better as a pendant :)

Yeah a reset would be in order. That gold works really well though. It’s got a completely different mood to it than my other moonstones, so it wouldn’t be a set builder. Maybe that’s why I’m so enchanted with it, because it’s a departure and it’s so fluffy and pillowy. I keep coming back to it and to the spess pear ring which my jeweler had or still has, and to gem silica.

It's amazing, thanks! If/when I get a Stone from Jeff I'm going to have him make me a ring. I've seen a few of his and they always look great.

I have quite a few from him and the craftsmanship is impeccable! I feel safer leaving all the zircons/tourmalines to him!

Wearing this jadeite bangle and my Vonsen’s blue nephrite snake ring. These have been unworn for a long time, but since I saw this bangle on Yokdee, which carries some similarity to mine, ( though some differences of course) that I’ve remembered what I originally loved about it. I’ve been reinspired to wear it again today. This is a bangle which I’ve had mixed feelings about because it only fits a certain mood. It’s strange how we can outgrow certain jewelry, as they represent a specific period in life. The bangle is definitely one of those pieces.

It is still not reshanked. That's another project for later but it has been retipped and the old extremely abraded and chipped stone replaced. While they were retipping apparently the old garnet busted so they replaced it for me and it looks much nicer now I think. I saw it and couldn't believe how big a 4.5mm stone looked to me lol

Far too pretty to leave sitting in a jewellery box! That’s one of my all time favourite settings, and I love it even more with a coloured stone centre.

Paired with sapphire rings. The blue and pink is set in a stock sterling silver mount I bought off eBay from years ago and brought over to Yangon to get them set with sapphires.

Awe, thank you! I love bracelets and rings most of all jewelry, but a few years ago, necklaces and pendants were more my focus. What I like about bracelets and rings is that one can see what one is wearing.

Omg @Bluegemz we need more details about this gorgeous piece!!!!!

Thanks, @lovedogs ! This might be kinda long... This bangle is an antique as it was completely hand carved. One can tell only by touch as in when running ones finger across it. There are multiple, tiny flattened spots where the person laboriously polished it, bit by bit. This is as opposed to the smooth curve of machine cut bangles, in which one can feel only curve. There is a dragon and a Phoenix. The dragon Is only seen by the head, emerging from the lavender side, as if coming up from under the water. The swirls are the feathers of the Phoenix, on the bluer side. The Phoenix is mostly represented by these simplified swirls. In between are 2 pearls, which I believe are symbolic for wisdom, as the dragon chases the pearls. Dragon and Phoenix is a symbolic relationship, often represented in jewelry given during marriages in China. I have my own understanding of it based on why I bought it, as a life transition piece.
The carved place where the pearls are, was the place of a stone line, which delivered a greenish color to the bottom of the bangle, and the bluish color to the Phoenix side, as stone lines deliver the colorant minerals into jade. The carver removed it and worked with the stone in such a simple way with simplified forms to minimize stone lines. I was afraid I’d crack it around there, but nothing has happened yet after years of wear. For me, it is a personal talisman piece.

Here is a closer picture....
