You're training her to be a 2nd generation Garnet Girl, I see!I just thought you guys would get a few smiles outta these pictures (:
My 4 year old Scarlett Elizabeth sporting her sterling silver collection today haha
Shes into gems and jewelry since she always sees me obsessing over my jewelry box and rings!
-She has a little onyx ring that I found in a little local gem shop in Rosewell, NM and I purchased it for 5$ when she was only 6 months old.
-A lapis ring that she picked out herself at a pawn shop when I purchased two delicate gold necklaces and two gold bands.
-A ring with three gems- originally had turqouise cabs but one was broken so I put in three 3mm cat eye alexandrites that I had.
-A little garnet heart ring that's a spess, its my first ring ever that I had as a child and gave it to her almost a year old. Its her favorite ring and she keeps it seperate in a little velvet box in her on jewelry box (;
-The first turqouise ring is from a visit to a jewelry store where the owner was there that day and they had a vintage Indian jewelry section and he picked it out and was so kind to give it to her.
-The second turquoise ring is also from that same trip to the pawn shop where she picked out her lapis, so she walked out with two! Haha
-Last ring is the second ring that I ever bought her she was about 1 year old and she was strapped to me at the Tuscon gem and mineral show. (:
Right now she's obsessed with garnet and fairly so with a name like Scarlett! She wants "a garnet rhombus ring" and a "circle lapis lazleeliie ring" next.
I'm on an etsy hunt as we speak. Its so much fun shopping for little sparklies for your own little gem girl!
What a fabulous experience it must be to see those spaces! The emeralds go so well, as they also carry such an ancient feel to them.A bit of history today. Wore my Hauyne ring at Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious structure ever made, one of the 7 wonders of the world located in Cambodia.
I am also wearing my DIY Colombian Emerald necklace as a bracelet at Ta Prohm, another temple where the Tomb Raider shot a lot of scenes. It’s known as the temple where trees grew on them.
I really love those! What great stones and the styles work so well together!
Whoa! Nice umbalite!!
@suzanne2 what ring are you making?
I have no patience or eyes for CADs so must have missed your thread!
I didn't make a thread for it *shame on me!* It should be ready soon.
@Stone Hunter so glad you posted that pic! I was walking around the other day asking myself if someone has ever out a blue stone in YG and what it would look like!
It looks great!
