@TL, what is the size of the diamonds on your spinel? Oh, and what is the size of that spinel ? I hope you don't mind me asking. I have a trillion spinel and am not sure what to do with it. I think my spinel is around the size of yours at 4.5 carats.

Thank you for your help. I thought all trillions were hopeless until I saw yours. I only bought the trillion spinel because it was so neon glowy pinkish red and it has sat, unset. I am thinking of setting it. Thank you for your help.

The pink/red gems in the inner halo are rubies. The orange gems in the outer halo are spinels.

Here's another picture at the start of sunset. The melee gems really catch the light and glitter, although I'm not able to capture the scintillation in still shots.

Yes, they were from her. These are just orange ones.

Thank you! I have kept all three orange shades in my cart for a while now agonizing over which ones to get. They are even more beautiful in your photos than I ever could have imagined. And, I know how difficult it is to capture the beauty of gems in photos.

Wearing my “ Dad” ring today. My father wore the big version of this ring in all diamonds his entire adult life. His was originally my grandfather’s. When I found this baby version with rubies after my dad died I had to have it because it reminds me so much of him. The rubies are abraded and they are my only natural rubies that aren’t microscopic but I do love the glow.
