More good cloudy day jewelry, an off-white zircon and honey hetian jade (though I think it's actually Siberian, Chinese agencies verify all items with a certain nephrite % as hetian).

Mogok unheated ruby (my first!) and Burmese jadeite fat fat round bangle under the office common area lighting. I love how stones and jade morph colours under different lighting conditions.

Abalone & spinel earrings. The spinels are actually a close match, but one picks up well on camera while the other blacks out, I think due to differing iron content.

Like me, sitting at home I typically don't wear jewelry at home...in fact, take my rings off as soon as I come in the house.

But this thread reminds me how our sparklies can bring joy and happiness.....so maybe I should change this as part of our "new" normal. Another reminder of how fortunate I am compared to so many others trying to get through this time.

I'm like- now's my chance all my jewelry matches my homebound "uniform" (leggings & a grey tee). Excluding more ornate stuff, I'm wearing stuff every day. Not on the doing my makeup train yet though.

Today I wore my Cassiar nephrite earrings. I love jadeite, but nephrite with a good polish is really hard to beat.

I put my natural red spinel from Litnon into a wild inexpensive setting with a CZs and synthetics halo so I could look at it more. It looks best on a cloudy, pre-storm day.



Please delete my post if synthetics aren't allowed, I don't know if the forums are as strict as they used to be.

I have opals in similar settings. It really saves $$$$. Very pretty.
