What are you wearing today?! Show me your CS!

Got to borrow my mom's beautiful CS ring today. She isn't sure on the stone specs, but I'm guessing blue topaz + rubellite on the sides? Or maybe the sides are garnet. Thick 18kt gold setting, with diamonds around the bezel. This might be my inspiration for my next stone setting project :)

Zounds lovedogs, that is a serious piece of gold and stone.

What I'm wearing:

1) A purple spinel
2) A little green tourmaline. Yes, I know the tourmaline has a window, but thanks to reading this forum, I spotted that before I had it sent (pats self on back for gaining knowledge). It was already set in the antique setting by competent jewelers, in a size that required no alterations, for price that was less than what could be acquired through much internet/shipping/jeweler futzing. I think it's a wonky cut, because sometimes the window is noticable, and sometimes not, depending on how the light hits it -- all when viewing the table straight on. It's a very pretty green IRL.

Lovely rings! Honestly, yellow gold just seems so luxurious and I love your tourmaline and your spinel ring.

Emm, not wearing any ring today, only a pair of tsavy earrings. Sorry for the blurry photo. It's quickly taken in front of my desktop.
I am ON for earrings lately...I've made a pair of ruby earrings, and is making another pair of spess garnet earrings.
I have another two pairs planned as well.
This is what will happen after you only make rings for a few years :(sad

Chrono, that lilac sapphire/spinel(?) in the YG ring is gorgeous. Do you have a thread about it? If not, could you share some information on the stone and the setting?

Here's my CS today. Tiffany's Paloma Picasso turquoise dot charm, 18k yellow gold necklace. It's the only piece of jewelry that my then-boyfriend (now husband) has bought me that I wear on a regular basis (the other is a jade necklace that I don't wear). He's not really a jewelry or flowers kinda guy. :cheeky:

Hi Mochiko!
The stone is a spinel. I did not start a thread on it but pondered about tweaking it to close the window and in the end, decided not to risk it. I can start a new thread on it if you like.

Awww, sometimes simplicity speaks volumes louder than garish jewellery.

Not quite enough for their own thread, but new earrings with a small chalcedony in each. Made with recycled watch parts, which I think is cool :) Sorry for the terrible ear-shots, best I could do during a work break!

Today: JXR amethyst on the cheap and small diamond.

Love your earrings OTL. I will be watching what you create closely, as my next goal is to move away from setting stones in rings and start my journey of earrings.

Nice earrings and pendants everyone. I like the greens.

GREAT amethyst! Love the color.

Gorgeous additions to this thread!!!! :appl:

I'm loving all these purples and greens with yellow gold. Keep them coming. When I was I child I paired purple and green together one day for a school outfit and I was teased for it. Luckily color bullying never deters me. ;-)

Not Mochiko but please do star a new thread  Adore the colour of that spinel, works so well with the setting

Acinom - that is the most perfect blue.

I've been experimenting with mixing metals lately so wearing YG spinel halo with plat french cut diamond and ruby band.
