I had an antepenultimate New Year's party tonight, aka New Year's Eve Eve.

I wore my 3 strand dog collar and my Kojima teardrops. I felt like a Queen.



A couple days ago I used Pattye's Beader's Secret to restring my 17" 9 mm Vietnamese baroque blue akoya necklace with an orbit clasp. Now I can link it up with my 6 mm Vietnamese blue akoya rope for an even longer rope.

Here's the necklace by itself, and a neck shot with my 18" Japanese 10 mm baroque blue akoyas. Moonstone earrings.

The 9 mm necklace is under my collar. You can just see the orbit clasps at the collar.

This is the first time I've tried Beader's Secret. I've always used silk before. This is the first time I got the stringing right the first time. Usually, I have to string a necklace 3 times before I get it right. With silk, I usually end up with knots in the wrong places, or I get 3/4 of the way done and the silk breaks, or the knots don't snug up tight enough. I'm a convert to Beader's Secret now. Also, Pattye's big eye needles are also the best ones I've ever used. I had no idea restringing could be so easy.

Today I am pearl heavy.
My pearl and rose cut diamond wedding ring from 1760-1770.


My pearl hair pin I had made from a pearl my hubs found in an oyster. It looks kind of like a dino egg, but it makes me feel like a mermaid.



And last my necklace I had made from a shell I found at the beach.



Question. What forum would be best to ask questions about coral?

I am wearing more pearls today. I have on a vintage smokey quartz and freshwater pearl necklace and some pearl studs a friend gave me from her trip to Hawaii. I know nothing about both so if you have any info let me know!

I was very surprised! The strands have a bar in the middle that they connect to that is gold. What is neat about it is the bar keeps them in place and allows you to wear them without a knot. I was told they are from the 1920's but I don't think that is correct.

Here are my pearls today. I strung both with the leftover pearls from my wedding dress. The short necklace also has leftover crystals and the clasp was from a necklace of my Grandmothers. As you can see I only wear grey and grey-ish purple.

Today I wore my 35 inch silver Tahitian baroque necklace from PP. I left work early and went to check out the new location of a b&m jewelry store. I got the best service I have ever received from the owner...she remarked on my pearls several time.

I adopted 2 octos from Sheri, they are WONDERFUL, so detailed, pearls are gorgeous and they are super fun!
One is lil dude, and the other is big papa!



I am having her make me an additional pendant using this pearl in the near future!

What gauge wire are you using? I really like this design.

Another project of mine. Long Oxidized silver chain with smokey quartz. With charm style tahitians wrapped on there. Can be worn long or doubled.

I want this whole thing to be cluttered with pearls, but so far I only have 20. I will probably add some silver/diamond and gemstone charms to it too. Its helping me improve with my wire wrapping skills.
