Thanks @baby nurse !Those are beautiful akoya, stracci! I like it with the gray in your neckline.
It ain't so! Mixing pearls with metals gives a more casual look. So instead of wearing a full strand, I usually pick a tincup look for jean Fridays.Beautiful! I love how it's edgier than the usual pearl necklaces.
I haven't worn my strands of pearls for a long time because I somehow feel it requires "dressier" clothes and I've gone more casual in my work style. Dresses and Adidas sneakers just don't go together with my long or short strands of pearls... Tell me it's just me and it ain't so....
Thank you, @Poodles4me!
Most of my sweaters are cashmere (because I freeze during the cool months) and are from Boden and Pure Collection. The one from today and the purple v neck above it are from Boden, the jade crew neck is from Lands End, the light pink v neck and duck egg crew neck are from Pure Collection.

@baby nurse - Thanks very much, I’ll check out Boden amd Pure Collection. I’ve bought from Lands End but have not bought any of their sweaters. I’m like you, always cold. Most of my sweaters are from Eileen Fisher and some older ones were from Eddie Bauer when their quality was still good.
I love the look of your pearl strands with your sweaters. So simple but sophisticated. This thread reminds me that I need to wear my pearls more often.
@baby nurse I have long admired all of your cashmere sweaters. Classic, elegant, timeless and your sweater/pearl combinations are always stunning! You've inspired me to purchase a few for myself!
Lovely pearls and you have such a great sense of style mixing the different strands and colours together .. so chic!!![]()
