What are you wearing today?!

Fly girl - I love your moonstone-pearl earrings. It is a beautiful variation of your fabulous wss-moonstone ring. Are they from the same jeweler?

Thank you, bsomlo, LitGeek and YC.

YC - Yes, the earrings are from the same jeweler who designed my white SS pearl ring. I love that ring so much, I challenged them to create earrings that were light in weight and made from SS pearls, diamonds and moonstones. I think they succeeded brilliantly. Both designs have a rose gold cup for the pearl and the half circle of precious stones. This particular designer loves moonstone, and I have been wanting a creation of his with carved moonstone for years. The design came together in time for these earrings to be my Christmas present from my dear husband. So, they are special to me. :wavey:

I take pictures of the pearls I'm wearing almost every time I wear them, but I almost never upload them to my computer from my phone. So, here's a couple weeks worth of pearl wearing all in one go, lol. First, my silver tahitians (you can see my lavender freshadama earrings in the first pic, too):

Now, a few weeks worth of lavender graduated freshadamas:

And now pink freshadamas, plus a wrist-shot of both colors:

And finally, two cats who are not entirely pleased with being dressed up, but too lazy to do anything about it lol.

Fantastic pictures, fantastic pearls and fantastic subjects (human and feline). Thanks for sharing your pictures. I would happily wear any of your beautiful necklaces (I don't wear bracelets, or I'd happily wear those, too).

Please keep posting!

Sencha, your pearls are lovely   ! The pictures are wonderful and I especially like the ones with the kitties :appl: !

These are the ripples I bought from Lema at Lilia's Treasures.

baby nurse -- those are glorious! How do you describe the color(s)? Can we please get some close-up shots?

Thank you, bsomlo! The body color is lavender and the overtones are green, pink, purple, blue, gold . The overtones are so strong that at times, these ripples look multicolor. I have a second strand that I wear with this one, but it was too much with this sweater.

Sencha, wow, love those metallics, especially the lavender and grey sweater combination! Very cute kitties!
I know what you mean about uploading photos, I post so much more since I got my iPhone!

Flygirl, beautiful earrings!

Confection, this is for you - I'm layering! This is a big step forward for me, even though I know the rest of you do it more often.
I love ropes, but struggle to make them work. I've thought about starting a thread on the art of rope-wearing (looking for tips I mean).
So, here's my first layering attempt!

I think that's a terrific combo!

Stunning silver Tahitians. They really glows and shines. And Your freshadamas are stunning. Could You take some more shots of freshadamas with that white blouse You have with Tahitians? Just curious to see colours better. Love Your cats. I have two cat also; maybe I'll let them use my pearls someday :D

baby nurse, Your ripples are out of this world. How in earth they can be so colourful  ?? Now I'm jealous =)

periwinklegirl :appl: :appl: :appl: . Great start! When You'll used to wear two strands, You might notice it is not enought and You'll pick three, four or five strands from Your pearl box . Welcome to my world. And a great idea of new thread; just for layered style only!

Today just white pearls (tomorrow Tahitins again, I guess :) )

Confection, I bow to you, the Queen of Pearl Layering! I love the all white today.

I am wearing my PP souffle which I dubbed "helium balloon" because it looks like it is floating away. It looks like melting metal (lavender with very strong green overtones):

I was watching the Oscars last evening, and the sight of all of those golden statues inspired me to wear my goldens today. Two matching freeform golden South Sea strands and golden akoya earring with yellow diamond all from Pearl Paradise. Golden bracelet from T Lee made with golden South Sea sourced from Kojima Pearl.

Wishing everyone a golden day and a wonderful week of pearl wearing! :wavey:

Oh wow, that bracelet is awesome. The design is so unique!

It has been so much fun again catching up on everyone's pearls! I like a little get-away once in a while but I miss so much!

SMC - I think it's great that you get to pick the pair you like best - I'm partial to the ones on the right but I'd love to see them on you!

bsomlo - I love that you get a lot of wear from your triple lavenders and custom drop earrings! I always thought a triple strand was so "dressy" but you have definitely changed my mind - they can be worn anywhere! For the Tahitian dangle earrings I will have to see if they have sales history that far back and if so I'll post specifics. Love your "helium balloon" too!

Fly Girl - Thanks for sharing your white, moonstone and diamond ensemble as well as the goldens from yesterday! You show me how different pearls and gemstone pieces can come together to make a beautiful picture. Love it! And how large in mm is the gold pearl on your bracelet? Wowza!

sencha1554 - Thanks for sharing your collected photos! It's obvious you love wearing your pearls and that they're a part of your everyday wardrobe. Your freshadamas are gorgeous even if your fur babies don't like posing in them!

baby nurse - Your ripples look like they have beautifully crazy overtones! I'd love to see some up close and personal some day.

periwinklegirl - I really like your layering! I'm still a layering newbie too so I'll meet you in the shallow end of the pool!

And Confection10 - White on white - how elegant!!! I need more pearls!!!

I'm wearing my Tahitian tin cup doubled up today (it's kinda layering?!?!) and I hope to post pictures later today or tomorrow. Have a great Monday!

Just look at all of these gorgeous pearls

bsomlo Love that helium pendant! It looks so light and fluffy!

Confection You had me at white pearls! Such a lovely combination.

Fly Girl Oh those goldens!!! Especially love that bracelet!

baby nurse Lovely ripples! The colors suit you perfectly.

Sencha You are making me want a lavender strand, they are SO pretty!

periwinklegirl Great job layering!

Fly Girl -- That's the golden Oscar's spirit! A beautiful set!

Today, perhaps influenced unconsciously by the Oscars, I wore my CC "golden fig" ripples. Their shape is alluring and in near darkness, they really do look golden. Other times, they look pinkish:

bsomlo - Your golden figs just glow!

So pretty! Are they heavy?

SMC -- not at all heavy. It's just one short strand of elongated drop ripples.

bsomlo I don't think I ever noticed the tiny gold beads on your strand and earrings, but I really like the look :appl: :appl: :appl: I bet these figs glow beautifully IRL!

Catherine originally had larger gold beads, but recommended changing them to the smaller ones so the necklace would move with more fluidity. She was right. I like this look and the way the necklace moves.

Round tahitians

bsomlo- thank you! my kitties really just look too elegant wearing pearls, hehe. I never wear bracelets either, I just doubled both necklaces around my wrist to try and get some comparison shots.

baby nurse- thank you :) I love seeing everyone's pearls each day, I know I'm not diligent enough to upload my pearl photos on a regular basis, but I really take so many photos I thought I ought to contribute some of them. Love those ripples, btw! I'm thinking some large ripples are in my future, they look so fun!

periwinklegirl- oh, if I could wear a gray sweater and lavender pearls every day, I would. I love wearing gray. And the metallic freshadamas are really crazy metallic, especially the pink ones, I tried to upload some pictures that show how much like mirrors they are.

Confection10- Thank you! Unfortunately my 18" freshadama strands are too long to wear with my collared shirts (unless I left them open on top of a tank or something)- I'm planning to someday get a pearl shortener for them, but it's kind of on the back-burner for now.

pkinnew- thank you, I do love pearls! they are so warm-feeling compared to other jewelry, if you know what I mean.

LitGeek- Dooooo eeet, lavenders are awesome :) some of the pearls have these crazy overtones that I have yet to capture in photographs. Someday I'll catch them!

I just might :naughty: We'll have to see if Jeremy comes back with any really dark and beautiful ones from his HK trip!

Confection10 - Can you tell me more about the shortest white strand? Lovely!

Lavender pearls are sultry creatures. My lavenders have silvers, blues, pinks and browns in them. LitGeek -- I think you'd find them fascinating.

I was about to photograph my pearls when I realized I'd taken them off already! Oh, well. There is always tomorrow...

Today it's once again cloudy and gray so here I am wearing a gray cowl neck with Edisons! I know I should have worn something bright and cheerful but it just wasn't happening this a.m.!

Here are neck shots of my Edison pearl necklace. The chain has small Tahitian stations and I love the length. The pearl looks different in various light sources.
