Loving the earrings ladies!

Icy Jade, your Tahitians are beautiful! I am putting some on my wish list for sure!

Frost Me: your studs are making me soooooo glad I bit the bullet and ordered the metallic strand. Fingers crossed that my necklace is as beautiful as your earrings!

Frost Me, those white metallics are beautiful! They have that soap-bubble glow.

Frostme, what size are those earrings? They are gorgeous.

Seaurchin, I have enjoyed all your pretty pearl posts lately, thanks for posting!

bsomio, your collection is always a joy to see everyday.

Thank you cmd2014 & ennui, ,cmd I can't wait to see your metallic strand!!!!

Pirard, these studs are 10 mm.

Frost Me - Gorgeous stud earrings! They look larger than 10 mm and are very impressive. Congratulations!

Icy Jade, and Frost me..... KILLER gorgeous studs!!!

My lavender FW and red bead necklace.

Running errands today and I just really wanted to wear this (I think it looks pretty with my "Candy Striper" Top)

Frost me: nope, I'm awaiting a mega shipment from pp that has everything... It feels like I'm waiting for Christmas to arrive, haha.

Pkinnew: thanks!

I wore my cherry tahitian studs yesterday. Colour in neither photo came out right (fluorescent lighting!) but I was quite pleased with how the luster was captured. You can see my outstretched hands holding the phone in both.

Whoa, these are fab! Did you post where you bought them from?

cheers--Sharon

Those cherry tahitians are amazing, icy_jade, and they look quite large! Do they have that colour/overtone in real life?

ckrickett! What a perfect pearl necklace with that top! Such a fun combination!

I received my exotic metallic studs in silver peach(7-8mm) yesterday =)
I would most likely pick a larger size next time, I sure have the space for it!

Went to a fun Lecture last night on Japanese Carpentry at The Morikami Museum. I haven't been worn my tin cup recently, so I thought it would be fun to bring her out!

Forgive the messy hair/face. This was pre make up and styling.

I'd been thinking we hadn't seen the tin cup for a while! Very nice!

Love the stud next to your ring! Is that a piercing, or just a cuff? Would love to get something like that for my 21 year old. She has multiple piercings, which I'm generally not a huge fan of, but can look really sophisticated...like you show in this picture!

Thanks for all your kind comments on my studs.
IRL this pair has good luster n color/overtones.

Took this last year - natural light, no light box. You can see the fan, sky, iPhone and other stuff reflected in it:

Again from last year, in light box along with the other loose pearls (which have all been set recently):

They are 11-12mm and I bought them from Golay Singapore at my local jewellery fair last year. I've only set them recently (along with some other stuff). I will see if I've time to create a new thread for all my recent buys and set pearls. Been on quite a spree in the past 3 months and have over 15 new pearlie items...

Ooh yes, Icy Jade, post away!

As for the other recent posts, thanks for sharing. I really enjoy them and I know lot of others do too!

Pirard - Thank you! Its funny you say that because I am exactly the same age as your daughter!( Jewelry doesn't discriminate :wink2:)

These are actually 18kt gold earrings my mom had made back home. She really likes dainty jewelry, and wanted something small and sparkly. The gold spheres are "faceted" so they catch the light. Though small, they are pretty sturdy and don't bend. The back post fits into the hollow post of the front, this way its really comfortable, no poking of the post into the back of your head. I tried wearing it backwards, and it also works, a tiny drop of gold in the front. If you get something like this, i would love to see!

That's a very cool earring! I was wondering about it, too.

Pencilcase, thank you for posting this! The earring is great, and looks so wonderful on the lobe. I am hoping my jeweler can craft something similar! Clearly your mother has excellent taste...as do you! Thank you for the closeup

So many lovely pearls everyone. I have been quite lazy past month (maybe this darkness causes it; long winter is coming again...) but I have wore my pearls everyday :D . Today black ripples

Wearing my new purchase of Art Deco vintage graduated triple strand of golden akoya. The clasp is killer:

bsomio, Loving this piece so classic! Please tell us more about the history of this piece, how you came to rescue it for a new future!

Frost Me, thanks! Since it's old akoya, the nacre should be very thick, too.

If you go to Pearl-Guide and read the thread: "Art Deco Golden Akoya Triple Strand - comments please" posted by kiwipaul you'll see the story.

He posted on Pearl-Guide asking for comments from pearl lovers and I just knew I wanted it immediately so I PMed him asking if it was for sale and I bought it and had it shipped from New Zealand. I love triples, I'm fond of graduated strands, the clasp is gorgeous, and I didn't own golden akoya -- so I wanted it!
