Wedding magazines. I buy one every time I see a new one, even though they all say the same thing and I already have all the ideas I need for the wedding! They''re expensive, heavy, and take up space. I love ''em though!
Ame, I feel the same about LV stuff, but to each his and her own. Marc Jacobs bags, on the other hand, are a different story. If it weren''t for the wedding coming up and the house we''re in the middle of buying, I''d be carrying one right now.

Here are mine. . .
I spend *at least* $300 a month on herbal supplements and tinctures
Only organic grains, veggies & meat for four people. . . no point in saying how much this is. . .''astronomical'' is a sufficient total figure.
Candles/holders - $50-75 per month (plus holders. . .I stash them and then alternate them for variety - I mean it would be boring to have the same candle holders/candles out all year, right?
Clothes - I have NO idea, but it''s bad, bad, badA shameful amount of money has been spent. To trick my husband I buy lots of black clothes in hope that he can tell the difference between all the different outfits. Luckily we have seperate closets. In our other house, we shared a walk-in and this is THE WORST set up any couple can have as then your husband can SEE your clothes and compare them to the relatively few items he has!
Oh, and I almost forgot. . .I have a sock fetish and go on binges and buy tons of them. Luckily this year, I went for a sock splurge right after the holidays and picked up a number of angora and cashmere pairs for SUPER great prices (phew!).
These kinds of socks are soooo cozy! mmmm. . .flat out yummy!Date: 1/27/2005 6:42:42 PM

HI:
Angora/cashmere socks--holy smokes! Sounds fab not to mention warm.
I too spend $$ on organic fruit/veggie stuff--perfect for my juice extractor. And candles too....And on 800 tubes of lipstick/gloss and wine...and and and
Oh goodness, it is starting to scareme how much I spend on stuff!!! By any chance was this thread started by my DH in disguise to get me to stop shopping??? Gary.....is that you???
cheers--Sharon
Trust me, the generics DON''T work. I''ve been using cetaphil for a couple of years. Love this stuff. One day I tried the generic one from Rite Aid and it sucked. I can''t quite figure why this is, but for some reason even with the exact same ingredients, the Rite Aid one would sting my eyes. Not worth saving $5 or whatever.Date: 1/27/2005 6:56:37 PM

Mine is definitely expensive bath and body products. I have very dry and sensitive skin, so I justfy the 5 or 6 different lotions, and 3 or 4 shower gels (all open at the same time) by trying to find just the right combination to combact my dry skin. And I have convinced myself that no generic product that I can get in the drug store will work.
Michelle: we are on the same page! I love cetaphil as well. I stock up on this stuff at Costco so I catch a bit of a price break there. I use the savings to feed my other habit: expensive handbags! From the above posts I see I am not alone on that one!Date: 1/27/2005 70:22 PM

I love bath/lotion goodies too and spend tons as well. You''re suppose to rotate these products so it''s important to have plenty to choose from

What a fun topic DancingFire! My vice is anything to do with my house and gourmet kitchen stuff. Dishes, crystal, silver, linens. When the Williams-Sonoma catalog arrives in the mailbox, I practically get heart palpitations. Panini presses, stainless steel measuring cups and spoons, Kitchenaid stand mixers, Le Creuset dutch ovens, I could go on and on. I cook a lot at home and my husand has rather dryly suggested that he might save money if we ate out more often!!
I couldn''t agree with you more Sharon.Date: 1/27/2005 8:28:47 PM

Your husband sounds like a funny guy...but how many times have you bought inferior products that have easily broken, only to go out and buy another better quality one in its place? This is especially true of kitchen gagets and cookware as they are stressed with daily use (or mine are anyway)--I replaced two garlic presses in a short time when I should have bought the ''higher end'' one to begin with. And I can vouch for the longevity of the LC casseroles/dutch ovens...

Soon my pet, you will be mine. Sooooooonnnnn.....
Are you using the cleanser or the mousterizer (sp?)? The cleanser is great, but you still HAVE TO exfoliate a few times a week to have your skin feeling smooth/clean AND for the lotion to sink into your skin. Without exfoliation, you''re just applying lotion to the dry stuff. FWIW, the Cetaphil lotion SUCKS. My skin will not absorb it so I just use the cleanser. . .Date: 1/27/2005 7:59:31 PM

DRY SKIN LADIES UNITE!!!! Ugh. I KNOW I should use Cetaphil. I just can''t I can''t! LOL...I have dry skin all over...my face is actually ok...so using cetaphil in the shower makes me still feel dirty. I''ve tried EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE creme or lotion out there...Well, I have yet to try M-Lactin or something like that but that is next. UGH.

#1: Black pants. It''s a problem. I don''t care how much they are. I have to have really good black pants. And I can''t turn down a pair.
