My home gel manicure lasted 9 days

I did a new one last night. Colour is “Love Bites” by Prism Polish (UK). I didn’t have to do any clean ups and this is my left hand (I’m left handed). The thumbnail is a bit patchy, I think I hit a bit of the gel/polish that wasn’t mixed very well.

I been loving the blue polish so I went and bought some Sally Hansen Pacific Blue...its a royal blue with a little sparkle to it...I like it!

At the game so of course I'm wearing red. Amal by Zoya. It's sort of matte, so I really need to find a good shiny topcoat.

Now that spring equinox has passed and chocolate bunnies have arrived, I decided to go with pastels this week. Even though it was 27F this morning with snow on the ground.

OPI Bubble Bath.

Just wanted to say that this at home gel color lasted ten days without chipping. I usually get my nails done in a salon with gel or SNS but this polish held up great!

Now trying Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Red Eye...

My last home gel attempt (the red) lasted 4 days but I wanted to see what would happen if I used a regular base coat to protect my nails from staining. The index fingers peeled off today. It did make removal a lot easier though!

This colour is a little autumnal but I haven’t used it yet

I'm fickle and I didn't like the OPI Pearl Diver top coat at all...so I covered everything w a holographic top coat. Dior Princess + OPI Pear Diver on index and pinky + Color Club Cloud Nine holographic polish.

Horrid formula as can be expected from the color....I hastily did two thick coats instead of thin 3-4 so it made it even more streaky.

How are the animal family? I still have loads of cats, now have loads of dogs too - including three rescues, I still have the horses, another generation of chickens and I'm boarding a friend's parrots and lovebirds to help him out, so life is busy but fun!

Wow you do have a menagerie! It is fun - enjoy every minute of it!

We are up to 8 cats now, mostly youngsters (5-ish and under). My 17+ year old little man has some health issues, but he doesn't seem to know it - he's still going! Hubby is at his limit - so no more... well maybe after my old man leaves us...

So this was an impulse purchase. The latest Essie collection was on a very tempting display and I just couldn't walk by.

Essie Gel Couture Reem Acra Bridal collection. Moments to Mrs. I like the formula and there are pearly flakes that are not showing up in the pic. I love the wide brush in GC line. So much easier to paint with than typical skinny Essie brush.

Definitely try it because of the brush. I'm even thinking of cleaning out an old polish bottle and switching out the brush so I can use this one with my other Essie colors. I was able to do my pinkies in one stroke!
