This is really fun! Here's my ultimate list:

-Yellow gold bangle- still deciding exactly what I want
-Platinum and YG Schlumberger band- ultimate RHR for me
-Two tone small Panthere watch
-Akoya stud earrings
-long pearl-by-the-yard style necklace that could be worn long, doubled or layered.

I'm happy to take my time and look for preloved items.

I feel as though my collection is largely done. For now. I am not terribly interested in new pieces.

I have my eye on a pair of earrings. They are fun and a little wacky for most.

But for future, in my mind I would like a large asscher, over 3.5 carats. However, I have a decent sized emerald cut I don't wear. I probably would not wear it.

I think I may like a large transitional or OEC one day, but not sure. I prefer an omc greatly. My largest omc is 3.09 and it's hard to find them even at that size that are pretty. I am currently resetting it.

I have projects still pending, but I'm not excited about them really. They have been pending for over a year for some.

I am less interested in stuff- of any kind- and just want to go somewhere and do something, that's not going to work or the daily cycle. I'd rather save my money and put it to doing that something when it's possible again.

Thanks for this thread, looking forward to hearing from others. here is my bucket list:

#1) VCA Alhambra stationary necklace is my dream, probably can only afford a pendant instead
#2) 3 ct moval
#3) Riviera diamond necklace
#4) upgrading my existing stud to a honker stud, like 4+ ctw
#5) a golden SS pearl pendant

1a) Asscher ring:

or 1b) AVC cushion similar to @acaw2015

2) Yellow gold "night" bangle:

@molecule this made my day, my ring on your list! Thank you! ❤

I love seeing what everyone has on their lists, loving the pictures. I have lots of things I want, but I have realized that I only wear my favourite jewelry set anyway. I (almost) never go to any fancy events either that would motivate me to buy anything for special wear... and my latest buy, my sweet 5 oec stone ring, never gets worn... sad.

But, that being said, I want:
A huge light blue star sapphire ring, with a thin diamond halo. I saw a ring like this ages ago at a jeweler and it has stuck in my mind ever since...
A large black opal pendant
A 3-4 ct EC
A 3+ ct AVC

maybe one day...

Well I just started collecting pieces that I pick instead of my husband or cast offs so...

Avc three stone ring
7 stone old cut yellow gold band
Antique carved gold band
Oec 2ct
Omc 3ct
Pearl set
Diamond studs omc or oec
Antique diamond drop earrings
Emerald cut Emerald maybe in halo
Cvb something
Garnet piece (antique)
Aquamarine piece. Birthstone
Tennis bracelet
Art deco platinum and diamond ring or bracelet

I really would like to buy my grandmother's canary yellow oval diamond from my aunt that I haven't met.

Yes! This is my dilemma. In work-from-home mode, I have no reason to wear anything. Sometimes I yearn for work clothes, which made me feel sharp and classy, and I remember the joy of choosing a statement piece. I bike commute so I would pick out my jewelry for the day, carefully tuck it into my little pouch, pack it in my pannier, and put it on when I got to work…Ah, the olden days…

Right now, I wear my wedding set 24/7 and it brings me capital-J Joy. I also accessorize with a pair of earrings (carefully picked to accommodate the Zoom blur backgrounds) and often my simple diamond bezel necklace (which I usually forget about and wind up wearing for multiple days on end). So my list is really short right now:
- diamond huggie earrings, which I’m really close to pulling the trigger on (using leftover diamonds from my wedding set reset). Look out for a post asking for design help soon…
- I have some (very, very modest) family heirloom jewelry, one of which is an OEC solitaire on a simple bail. But the chain broke and the diamond is chipped, so I’m thinking of resetting it into a white gold version of my diamond bezel necklace. Because, why not have another metal option? (I really, really, REALLY like my bezel necklace, lol).

This is fun. :)

My hg ring is my 2 ct asscher set in a vintage inspired setting. I spent a car on it and I only wear it once a month. But I always wanted it and still would want it if I didn’t have it. And I love it when I do wear it. 10/10 would buy it again. So when the time is right, think about getting that asscher.

Do you have a thread on this marvelous asscher?!

Where do I start with this!?

I keep four lists that I just update as I go along.

A) Right now.
This is a list of projects that are currently works in progress, meaning that I've either paid for them or I've committed to plunking money down.

B) Up next.
This is the list of non-negotiables that I'm planning to start as soon as feasible. "As soon as feasible" might be an issue of availability (designer is already working on something for me and I'm waiting for that project to end before starting another), or decisiveness (still debating metal colour, say) or just plain ol' lack of funds...

C) One day, for sure.
These are things that I know I want eventually but there's no rush. Some are just really big ticket items that I'm going to need to save up for. Some are... Unlikely to change in price between now and X-Years-From-Now, so they're being deprioritized in favour of other things that I know will cost more sooner. Dratted price hikes ;(

D) One day, maybe.
This is the list that changes most. I allow myself at most ten "maybes", and things don't get to graduate to the other three lists until they've been on the "maybe" list for at least two weeks.

I have this vague hope that one day all my lists will shrink to nothing. But right now they seem to be going in the opposite direction :???:

I am really shooting for "faerie chic" in my jewelry wardrobe

Must-haves
  • DBTY bracelet (rose gold and/or platinum)
  • Leen Heyne solitaire band (I have a small heirloom diamond to set)
  • Rose cut diamond dangles
  • Cartier Trinity ring
  • Bezel diamond pendant (recut of old ering diamond)
  • Antique light blue sapphire cabochon ring
  • Blue calcedony intaglio ring (I have a design in mind - a two-toned setting, with Canis Major and Minor)
*Sigh* I dream of Leen...
1631050993991.png

And rosies...

1631051079971.png

And mysterious light blue stones

Deep desires, depending on what I find
  • Antique turquoise diamond dangles
  • Bubblegum pink spinel ring with unicorn colored melee
  • Kataoka branches ring
  • Multi-colored gemstone studs
Shimmery rosies with bright blue...my ideal!

Speaking of OMCs. I got to see this pair in-person and - they are glorious!! I really can't believe they're still around!!

- 22k band
I bought a 24k band from this Etsy vendor - https://www.etsy.com/shop/AAurous?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=917104782
I wasn't expecting much for the cost, and I was really happy when it came in! My local jeweller tested it as solid, and the expected karat, and it's nicely made and finished. Just thought I'd throw it out there!

- 16” gem quality pearl strand necklace
- Mikimoto akoya pearl studs
SO on board with these!!  :cool2:

@elizat- Off topic here but I just wanted to apologize for what I said to you a while back about the pearl necklace you were thinking about selling. I think I somehow completely misunderstood you and I should have stayed out of it anyway. Sorry for stupidly pouncing on you.

Interesting question. Not sure I can answer it because, first, I don't feel like I have any clear gaps in my jewelry collection anymore. I'm pretty sure that I'd have suitable pieces to go with any outfit or occasion. I'm also trying to take it all down a few notches, so whatever I do get now is more likely to be more on the "fun" side anyway. On the other hand, I can't see myself ever feeling like I'm finished and don't need any more jewelry lol.

@Cerulean  I think you need to get out of my head. And put me in your will!:wink2:

I got a 2mm round band and I wear it a ton! He does this textured finish that makes you not care about scratching and denting it up, because the texture you add just blends in - very smart, that!

I ticked the 3-4 box, but the more I think about it the more I’d like to add.

1. A yellow diamond eternity band. I tried one on years ago and it looked the business stacked with my white diamond eternity band. Alex Parks does one that fits comfortably in budget
BEFF6168-9E20-4D82-BA1A-A85AB61BAE42.png
2. A gold bracelet. Something that would sit nicely with my diamond tennis bracelet. I was thinking about the hammered gold 5 motif from van cleef, but am yet to try it on.

3. 8-10 carat diamond tennis necklace. I always thought I may like one and fell in love once I saw the show me your tennis necklace thread.

4. some diamond hoops. There would have to be some serious engineering with these as my ears sit close to my head and hoops tend to give me Simbad the sailor vibes :wall:lljsmom showed some hoops with angled posts, I often wonder if this can be done with diamonds 7BBD3C7F-9877-4EAE-9BF0-041890D03E84.jpeg

1. Earring jackets….. which I ordered today!!! Yay. Can’t wait.
2. pink and sapphire pave eternity band
3. Big chunky cushion cut studs
4. One of those journey necklaces but made by whiteflash with aca diamonds.

2. a specific VCA bracelet
3. the perfect RHR. i'm beginning to think there is no such thing.
4. the perfect studs, someday, when I want them again.
