strawberries - Thanks so much for your reponse. It does stink that the Caroline sounds like it''s out of my budget, but I''m going to email Excel Diamonds to see if they could set my sapphire and I''ve found out the the two Ritanis I like are IN my budget, so that''s very cool and I''m waiting to hear back on quotes for two more that I like as well.

I think I definitely prefer the cathedral look over the regular solitaire look, so if I go with a setting with diamonds, it will be the WF one. If I do go that route, I''ll probably get either a knife ege band as my w-ring or else something that is more metal with just a few accent diamonds to off-set the bling of the e-ring.

Guys can be so difficult when it comes to this stuff. Mr.L knew that I would love to get to pick out my own ring because he knows how much I love jewelry, but I still want his opinion on it and his opinion is generally, ''I don''t like it'' or ''That''s nice'' - no explanation! LOL.

I really like that setting with the heart - it''s very fluid and very unique.

The Caroline is still so beautiful - I love side diamonds on a basket, it adds so much uniqueness that most people don''t have. I''m glad you''re still looking into it!!

Hehe you sound just like me with FI - I wanted him to have some input because he was the one giving it to me. It was nice of him to always say I''m the one wearing to so I need to be the one liking it. BUT I wanted him to like what he was giving me and feel like it represents him somewhat too - I wanted some of him in it! But all he''d say is exactly your quotes - never a reason why or why not. I''d ask why, he''d say, "I don''t know, I just dont'' like it" or "It looks like everything else" - ARGH that last one would always get to me, haha, because I could SO obviously see all the different details in each one!! Haha it''s what makes us and them special I guess...

So do the concave cut stones just blow you away in real life? I''ve never seen one, only the pictures on his website. I really loved the look, but I have a hard time imagining how much they sparkle, or if they have fire like diamonds, or if they just look like a starburst, or what...

Yeah, that''s pretty much what they look like. My stone is lighter in color, so I think that it looks a little different (both are beautiful though), but they do really look amazing in person. They don''t throw off fire like a diamond though, so it''s different and they aren''t a velvety looking as a regular cut colored stone - if that makes sense. I think a good word to describe them is glittery. They kind of have this internal glow to them and facets kind glitter & sparkle.

I absolutely love mine - every night after work i go home and pull it out and play with it and each time I am blown away by how pretty it is - it''s like I forgot when I haven''t seen it in a while. And all I can say, is I don''t know what it is about the lights in the bathroom, but it looks AMAZING in there - so does my antinque diamond ring though too!
