Can you give us the stats?
That stone will not sparkle. The window in it is just about as big as you can get. I would not accept those inclusions. And the color is not good either. You guys can do much better. Just curious, what is the price on this stone?
I wouldn't call that yellow...I can't decide if it is more bronze-y or green or brown?

How about one of these yellow sapphires?

They are being sold as a pair but you can ask if he''ll sell you just one. Or you can use the other in a necklace.

And here is a canary yellow diamond.
On this one, do you see how you can''t see through the stone? In the stone you posted, that''s what a window looks like.
Great choice. Thats a fab color.Date: 6/3/2010 9:45:35 PM

Honestly speaking, for those prices, I much rather have a chrysoberyl. I know you're trying to save money so that's why I keep harping on this. Chrysoberyl is so much less expensive, and the luster and polish are so much nicer than sapphire IMHO. We're talking maybe a couple hundred per carat vs a thousand. You really have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by going that route, and chrysoberyl is always untreated. JMO. They come in golden yellow colors like the stones above as well.
Check out the chrysoberyl on this page.

I wish I had known about chrysoberyls earlier. I definitely would have considered first and foremost had I known. I''ve harped on yellow sapphires for so long to my boyfriend that I think he would just lose his mind if I change my mind (again) about the type of center stone that I want. Now I''m not sure what to do.

I would want a chrysoberyl too TL (actually already do) but the OP says she wants sapphire. Please take note of the novelty of both Freke and myself suggesting NSC stones!
This is one that I considered getting from them, once upon a time.

Wanted to jump in and echo TL about chrysoberyl! I have a yellow one w/a hint of green and I adore it! I get it out all the time to play with it-it sparkles like the dickens!
