You know, I thought I had it all figured out, I had decided I wanted a platinum, trellis setting for 3 princess cut diamonds, the center being about 1 ct. (picture below). And I have found the best one from blue nile because the ring band is not filled in under the diamonds, there is room and openings so the ring looks more delicate and has more sparkle. But as I have learned so much about rings and diamonds and seen so many gorgeous rings, I have begun to change my mind and I am not sure what I really want. I have begun to lean more towards a royal asscher for cut, but still want a delicate/detailed setting for the prongs/head. And I don''t think I want a solitaire either. But I really dont know. In the next post is one of my current favorites from greenlakejewelry.com And I love just about anything from niwaka.com!

Curved tension setting with RB from Green Lake Jewelry. I love the wedding band with this one! Again I would want about 1 ct diamond. Nothing bigger for me!

Ok, here come my questions (sorry):

What is:
trellis setting
ideal cut
shank split 1/2 way down (I think I know but not positive)
knife edge solitaire (got the solitaire part but not the rest)

Also, why can't the wedding band be right next to the e-ring? I think i'm missing something.

Btw, those sound beautiful!! Anyone have pictures?
This is also an answer for VIRGINIA I replied to the wrong post sorry!

You know you can have wb made that sit flush with the ring no matter the size or the design! The band isn't straight but can be curved or have steps, they actually look very nice! Let me know if ytou would like me to find some pics for you!
