Diamond A
1.71K
7.67-7.72 x 4.73
H SI2
Cut Excellent
Polish Very Good
Symmetry Very Good
Fluorescence None
Culet None
Table 57%
Depth 61.5%
Comments: Additional twinning wisps not shown
Surface graining not shown.
I have personally seen this diamond and the table is basically clean down the middle. A twinning wisp enters the center of the stone slightly from the periphery. It is not visual to the naked eye, only under a loop.

VERSUS
Diamond B
1.70K
7.69-7.76 x 4.69
I SI2
Cut Excellent
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Excellent
Fluorescence None
Culet None
Table 58%
Depth 60.7%

I have also seen this stone and there is only a small cloud (no black) in the center table that is only visible under a loop.
Cost of diamond A $10000, diamond b $10900.

Do you have crown and pavilion angles please?

Diamond A
crown angle 35.5
pavilion 40.8
girdle thin to medium, faceted

Diamond B
crown angle 34
pavilion 41
girdle medium faceted

Diamond B would be nice.

Hi Rocketeer,

I prefer the numbers of the second diamond also, the first is hovering around what we call steep deep territory which means it could leak light - it may not show this effect but it is possible. If you really like this one, then check it out carefully away from the store lights to see if it appeals to you in the more usual lighting it will be worn in, and look for any dark areas on top of the diamond. The second diamond's angles are in a safer range, but check each out carefully and see which you like best.

The numbers for B are more strongly indicative of a good performer. A could have leakage.

the crown angle on A is steep and the numbers on diamond 2 are much better for light performance

I put a link up, its the HCA...it helps you weed out bad stones. Anything 2 and below is what you want a RB to be.

B is better too.

do you think this is a fair price for diamond b?

yes, its a very reasonable price

Definitely diamond B!
