What is your birthstone, do you like it?

Mine is Ruby and a I have a few rings and some loose gems but not as many as I would like.

Mine is sapphire. I have been crazy for sapphires since I was 6 years old and discovered my birthstone.

I have 3 birthstones: Alexandrite, Pearl, Moonstone. l believe that June is the only month with 3 stones.

Mine is amethyst. I do like it, luckily I like purple and it is fairly cheap! I would like to get a high quality one at some point.

It’s aqua, and no, not a fan. I prefer higher RI gems, if they’re going to be grayish.

Mine is topaz and I couldn't care less. Not just about topaz, but about birthstones in general. So someone somewhere sometime decided that each month should be associated with a birthstone for... what reason exactly? I realise I'm probably the odd one out regarding this subject but I've always found it just utterly pointless. I'll like what I like, thank you very much, leave my birthday out of it.

Mine is amethyst. I despise the color purple. My sons’ birthstones are diamond and alexandrite + Pearl so I take advantage and wear theirs instead

Amethyst, and have always loved it when it's a rich purple. I don't like pale stones / rose de France.
At this point I have all the amethysts I want.

Oh wow... a lot of June babies here! Me too!! I do love South Sea pearls and the new round pastel freshwater ones coming out of... is it Vietnam? One day, I want to really splurge on a Tahitian necklace. I have a beautiful Tahitian and diamond 18k white gold ring from Mikimoto. Bought it at the Japan pavilion in Disney!

Alexandrite is an alternative birthstone for June, and I've never been a fan! I know that's sacrilege around these parts.

I was born in January...so garnet for me. I always thought they were brownish red. PS opened my eyes. I have a pretty Rhodolite garnet from Stag & Finch. It’s a dark cranberry red but very pretty. I may set it next year with a halo.

March - not a fan but was always glad that it wasn't peridot (my mom's birthstone)

....then when they added spinel to August and I was jealous (not that I've ever not bought a stone because it was someone else's birthstone )
