He never liked country music, and then I got him hooked

How did you do it?!?! Over four years later and he still cant stand it... although ive gotten his dad into!

Its been killing me to not have a great country love song for our first dance, but i know its not what he would want... so at some point im going to get the band to play something and have it be my special request for him. The song Ive been thinking of lately is "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts... for the last 2 weeks everytime it comes on the radio i start balling my eyes out!

I thought about this a whiile ago.. didn't mention it to BF though. Come rain or come shine by Billie Holiday. We both love her although a lot of her songs are kind of depressing, but this one is very sweet. And short- he hates dancing and being the center of attention, so we wouldn't be dancing long!

One of my all time favorites- I really like Ray Charles' version.

And I love 'Have A Little Faith' by John Hiatt. Both of those songs would ring true for my BF and I.

I also love 'Crush' by Dave Matthews- after we started dating seriously be both confessed that our early flirtations left us each blown away and he was my crush for many years before the real thing happened.

This may sound strange, but our song is more of a breakup song. One week, while my car was in the shop, we got into a fight, one of the only ones we''ve ever had, and "Only One" by Yellowcard came on the radio and made me cry and realize how stupid we were being. It was also the first song we ever listened to together. Ever since then, its been pretty special to us and I''ve already decided to get "My Only One" engraved on his wedding band.

The reason this is our song is, Jeff and I worked together for two summers, and then lost touch for a full year, before we finally got back in touch.. and then we were only talking over the internet.. So it was sort of unclear as to what our interest was in one another.. I love all your songs!!!!. I wish we had a "song"...but we don''t (he''s not much into music)....I guess if we did it would be "Amazed" by Lonestar (someone else had that one too!). I was listening to it one day and he called me at that exact time...I told him that song made me think of him...then it has happened a few times more (that he calls at the same time the song is playing on the radio)

I guess the first song that my fiance and I ever called "ours" was "November Rain" by Guns''N''Roses, just because we danced to it when we were first together and both love it. I''ll be walking down the aisle on our wedding day to "From this Moment" by Shania Twain, and our first dance will be to "Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins. Every time I hear "From This Moment" I cry. Imagine me on our wedding day!!! Dad and I are planning to do a little surprise samba at the end of the night to "Save the Last Dance for Me" by Michael Buble.

Our song has always been "How Deep Is Your Love" by the BeeGees. It was the song on the radio the first time we kissed. It would randomly play when we were in elevators, stores etc. We both went through a lot with making a blended family and our age difference 13 years so we feel the words are appropriate.

We loved the song so much that we used it for our processional for our wedding. Loaded onto an IPOD right off the Saturday Night Fever CD. People couldn''t believe we used a pop song with words. But then again, for our pre-wedding music we used Gene Autrey''s "Back in the Saddle Again" since it was a 2nd wedding for both of us. I guess we''re just very unconvential.
