My family gathering was completely dry....but you know, I kind of prefer it that way. No one has anything to be embarrassed about the next day, hee hee.

I stated no alcohol but one person brought beer and bottles of wine and only a few people drank most of it! The rest didn't drink just as planned. I ended up having a beer.

Different strokes for different folks. With the turkey, dressing, taters and cranberry sauce some chose chardonnay, others had a nice pinot noir. With the pecan pie and blackberry pie a la mode there was a choice of Irish coffee or coffee with Baileys. For those who lasted into the night there was tawny port or a finger of Lagavulin scotch.

For the younglings there was a robust apple juice (2008 vintage) or fresh ade d' lemon on the rocks.
