If you can damage a garnet, you can damage a sapphire, I've split a diamond in half, being another person that manages to smack my hands on everything.... if you smack the wrong stone the right way, you can ruin just about anything....

I buy what I like and then usually just keep upgrading until I'm relatively happy....

This is a complete tangent - but I stumbled across old listings on Loupetroop of your stunning, electric blue sapphires for sale - are any of those still on the market? I think I saw 1-2 cushions - of the rich blue sapphires I have seen - they were the PERFECT color!!! Might be months late to that one...:knockout:

Big impulse shopper and on the occasion where I do plan to shop for something, I need immediate gratification. I'm also a budget shopper (relatively speaking given we are talking gemstone jewelry) which often means concessions.

Most of the darker electric blue ones have sold, I have a couple of lighter to mid colours and a purple one I've been thinking of listing so I guess the best idea is just watch LT. I tend to list things whenever I get the chance to take decent photos only.

Awesome - thank you! I prefer mid tones generally but thought both of the cushions you had - the 2.52 & 2.80 were knockouts! I will definitely keep an eye out as I am interested!

Sounds like I am not the only one that chips, cracks, scratches and dislodges gemstones.
As much as I would like to upgrade my diamond, possibly I should just wear it in a necklace.
