What non-bling items are on your 2024 holiday wish list?

OMG I totally love your idea! Because if you think about it - they don’t make things like they used to anymore!!

I'm so glad - can you tell I have a coat in mind, too? But I can't justify it because the darn good quality coats I've bought are still in good shape!

Once my mom wanted a new washer, what she thought of as a better brand, but the old Kenmore kept obstinately chugging along. My sister caught her pouring a cup of beach sand in the machine in an attempt to gum up the works. Nope. That machine lived several more years!

Not everything back in the day was great, of course, but the things that are seventy years old and still good, like my daughter's coat, were built for the long haul!

Picture from ebay. Looks beautiful on her - she has a very small waist. And I was wrong - it also was under $200.

The non bling items are no longer on my wish list because, cough cough, Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Through the years we've broken dishes, lost flatware, and some of our cookware aged out. What used to be on my list is now in my kitchen: All-Clad set of pots and pans, new dishes and flatware to serve 16, some pretty serving bowls and a Noritake platter.
