I really want an asscher or emerald cut, my third choice is probably a cushion cut, but I really don''t think there any cuts I don''t like!

Fun topic! Well, I have fallen hard for oval solitaire''s so hopefully I will be given one soon! BF seems content to choose this cut as well, and the rest of the setting, etc. are up to him.

Yay!!! I haven''t found as many people who love the oval like I do. You have great taste lol. I just think the oval has a certain vintage/unique look to it

I have an emerald cut. They have always been my favorite! I must stop buying emerald cuts though...I have two EC natural aquas that I have no idea what to do with. I also have square emerald earings. Must learn to love other shapes.

AWW...thanks kitty. At the moment I''m tryng to decide if I want to use both stones in a necklace. One is slightly bigger than the other and one is more of a blue/green color. I thought about using them as my something blue but I just don''t know yet.Date: 1/13/2009 11:14:00 PM

You can send that aqua to me, and we''ll each wear one as ''something blue'' for our weddings.
That''s my take. Plus my BF has already been CRAMMED with the RB stats to look for, he knows about the Cs, but i feel if I throw another C at him (that C being Cushion) he might go loopy. Here is to hoping he let''s me pick it out!Date: 1/13/2009 10:19:51 AM

I always loved the classic look of a RB solitaire, so I knew I wanted one for my engagement ring--and that''s what my FI gave me.
After finding PS, I learned about cushions, and am now completely in love with them. I''d like one for a RHR at some point.
That isn''t always the case. It seems to be harder to find EC''s with lower clarity that are eye clean but I guess they do occasionally come up. If you focus the most on cut (polish and symetry for starters) you may be able to relax a little on the color. It all depends on the stone. Mine is a J for example and I bet in real life you would never guess it.Date: 1/14/2009 10:46:33 AM

I love hearing about what everyone wants to have or has as their e-ring
I love EC''s as well. Correct me if im wrong, but I always had the impression that EC''s need to be really high in their C''s because of they way the are cut. Flaws are much easier to spot in an EC. So for that reason I kinda of stayed away thinking I would have to pay much more for the same carat in a RB. But if you find a good one, they look gorgeous. I would love to have one down the line as a RHR.
