I think the color is gorgeous. To my totally untrained eye, it looks Kasmiry to me, particularly if it "glows".Date: 6/9/2005 8:21:38 PM

Here is another blue sapphire that I have. I am confused with the color. Is it called cornflower blue or Kashmiry blue color.... Any opinion about the color?
I''m sure they occasionally do. As one or more of the "Big Guns" continue to say: Kasmir, Burma, Ceylon, Madagascar, etc. etc. are PLACES...not colors!Author: TKC
Is it possible that Ceylonese sapphires have similar color to Kashmir sapphires?

Hi, any of you could tell me how to reply someone question by putting the question inside the light blue box? I am new here and not so familiar with all the features of this site. Thanks.
Thank very much BelleDate: 6/9/2005 11:09:33 PM

Hi Mine, what do you mean by I am hiding something?
Hi Widget, I will take a look under incandescent light and take pictures. The sapphire actually is from Ceylon mine. Is it possible that Ceylonese sapphires have similar color to Kashmir sapphires?
I tried to take pictures of the stone under incandescent light (my light is kind of low). The stone sparkles the same color as under daylight, but does not glow like under daylight. And, the color of the stone is hard to capture. It shows different blue on my digital camera. I don''t know why. I think digital cameras have a problem to capture certain colors under certain lighting condition.Date: 6/9/2005 10:04:45 PM

I have a pad sapph that is somewhat ''cloudy''...and I suspect some might not care for it. But I love it. Sitting in my jewelry box, it ''out glows'' all it''s neighbors considerably.
How does your sapphire look in different light? It is my understanding that Kasmir types ''hold their glow'' in almost any lighting.
For comparison, here''s my Burma. It''s definitely beautiful, especially in direct sunlight and brightly lit stores. But in my jewelry box, next to the pad, it doesn''t stand a chance.

Pretty, even uncut aren''t they? I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. I haven''t been able to find a pure windex blue I could afford yet .Date: 6/10/2005 9:52:29 PM

Yes, sure... The faceted thing is blue zircon, and the picture is reasonably realistic. Large ones are really intense - so one of those near 10 cts in the middle of a ''20 style sead pearl choker is not quite so esotheric a choiceDate: 6/11/2005 11:33:36 PM
