Interesting looking "picture" showed up while preforming a pink sapphire cab. Then polished top and botton to check the "picture".

Opinions on how to continue:

- cab?

- cutting slices?

- polish it bit flater and polish the edge?

- other ideas?

Thanks

I think pink sapphire cab is striking, continuing as a cabochon could enhance its depth and play of color, especially if the pattern benefits from a curved surface. Cutting slices is another option, ideal for creating multiple pieces or showcasing transparency, though it may risk losing or distorting the image. Alternatively, polishing the piece flatter and refining the edges could preserve the pattern while highlighting the stone's overall shape, making it suitable for bezel settings.
