Motownmama, I think that would be an amazing 3 stone ring especially with sapphires. I recently had great customer service from both Whiteflash and High Performance Diamonds. Both of them do custom work and probably know where to find some awesome sapphires. I can't wait to see your finished ring. :appl:

Thanks! I will look into each suggestion. Thanks! Also, I want very low, platinum and the sapphires tilted down. My size is 4.5.
I will look at the 3 stone thread, but if anyone can think of a specific ring that is conjured up based on my loose description, please tell me whose ring you're thinking of and I'll specifically look.

You have some very specific ideas about what you want, and vendors such as Caysie and ERD do CADs that would need input and possibly adjustment before the ring is made. There is no possible way I would turn that over to my husband since he would not be able to know exactly what I wanted. I really can't understand why you want to turn this over to him since you are already planning the ring and seem to know what you want. :?:

BGD! They can either make a setting like what you're describing or use this Sholdt three stone setting:
http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/daphnie-sholdt-platinum-5363p

The Sholdt setting is very expensive for some reason. All of their single bezel rings are much more reasonably priced.
A long time PSer posted this ring in the Show your Sholdt thread & I'm in love with it! If I ever do a three stone this is my setting.
Anyway since you mentioned bezels I thought I would point you to it :)) I think it would look amazing with sapphires, I was considering that myself.

I'd say Brian Gavin.

If he work with Brian himself... he'll be in great hands.

I wanted a pendant. And I had all these ideas. I sent him a ton of images, including some of mosaic floor tiles. He came up with my beautiful unique pendant for me.

And that's only the first project I did with him. Each project I've done Brian has been amazing. FABULOUS personalized service. And he really listens and understands.

I can't give you a better recommendation that that.

Just call, ask for Lesley and tell her Gypsy said to work with Brian directly. :wavey:

Thanks guys. I think I'll give him a vendor and some guidelines but then hand it off and not see it until I open the box!

I would say ERD or CVB. All my guy friends who was hands-on chose ERD after checking out multiple vendors. They find Mark and Chris really easy to work with and responsive. Caysie seems really amazing based on everything I have seen on PS.

Guys this is really helpful! I want to respond to diamondseeker - we bought a vacation home and I figured we'd renovate when the kids are older. My DH disagreed so I told him he was on his own! One year and 1000 miles away and he hit it out of the ballpark. Four bathrooms and a brand new kitchen and he did every surface, cabinet, knob, light fixture on his own (with a designer). All I said was neutral and no marble. I didn't see one choice he made until we drove up a year later. He added a screen porch, front porch, swapped the DR and master bedroom - on & on. My kids have a video of my seeing it for the first time. I am picky, but he totally "gets" me!!!!!

Miss bliss - really great example!
Gypsy - I was thinking Brian Gavin - thx!

I just want to close the loop here for anyone wondering. I looked at the very apt suggestions here, but I ended up following Gypsy's advice. Brian will work directly with DH on this and I won't see until the final reveal - haha - not everyone's cup of tea, I know. When I asked my DJ his response was "sounds fun." I'll be back with the final product. it will be post summer. I wanted to give him plenty of time. He doesn't need time pressure on this . Our anniversary is in the Fall. Stay tuned........................
