Aww, no Wii tonight. The dumb managers at his work apparently have no freakin'' idea about anything--it''s next Friday that''s payday, not this Friday. Boo.

Yikes, how do they mess that up? Or maybe they just make soooo much money that they don''t care when it comes to them?

You''d think so, right? They get paid once a month too! How do you not know the exact *minute* you''ll get your money?!

But it doesn''t matter; there are certainly more important things than us getting our toy.

I''m the same as you ams0124, I have the HARDEST time coming up with anything! Haha.

The only things I did ask for from BF:

The Post Secret books. -That''s it!

He said he''s gotten be 7 presents all together so far... so I have not a clue what they could be besides the books! And no way for me to snoop (not that I would) b/c he had all of them sent to his grandparents house! (He says he trusts me not to look but he had them sent there b/c we have too small of a place that I''ll end up finding them without even trying.)

But yeah, that''s it.

Oh wait, I did ask for a crock pot a month ago. But who knows if he''ll remember!

I added 2 cobalt blue wine glasses to my wish list. ($3 each at Pier One! Our kitchen is cobalt, silver, blond wood and black.) I figure they''ll go nicely.

Going Christmas shopping for FF this weekend really got me thinking about what I wanted for myself. Most of the stuff are things that I need to replace old and worn out items in my wardrobe.

* new wool coat (saw this one in the JCrew outlet that was TDF)
* fleece jacket (similar to North Face Denali but it doesn''t need to cost that much)
* running shoes (I''m overdue for my new annual pair)
* the new Candace Bushnell book

The more frivolous stuff-
* setting for my grandmother''s diamond (not gonna happen)
* setting for my mint tourmaline cushion
* Nike NCAA football with a high tack surface (adds another 5-8 yards to my longest throw!)

No real wish list for me this year.... S/O made a huge gift purchase for my B-day and I know he is paying for the ring out of the savings for the house we are supposed to close in a year''s time. (He does not want to put the ring on credit) And I know the ring is coming over the Holidays, so seeing that he is "splurging" right now, we agreed: No major holiday gift purchases other than for the kids and family. We decided we''d do personal and possibly home made gifts this year.

Well ladies, I am here to report that your prayers seem to be working!

My MRI was scheduled for Dec 21st. There seems to have been a miraculous opening in the Radiology department. I will know tomorrow if my apt is moved up to Wednesday this week.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Item #1 on my Wish List may be fulfilled.

Well, the MRI is on Dec 21st. The appt with my neurosurgeon is scheduled for Dec 22nd.


List:

1. To be able to get my MRI a bit faster.

2. I want the surgeon to tell me that the problem is operable.

ETA: I don''t want a pity party. This is just what I want for christmas. God this sounds pathetic!

It''s hardly pathetic. What I truly want for Christmas is to go at least a year without a visit to a specialist.

Fun things...nothing. I really don''t want anything frivolous this year. I need some new clothes, some bedroom furniture...I''m taking all of my extra December money (this is one of my three paycheck months) and paying my credit cards off completely, so other than student loans (most of which I owe my parents, not a bank) I''ll be debt-free. That''s probably the best gift I can give myself. And from BF...honestly, a really good date. Even if it''s just spending all of Christmas day together, watching holiday movies and drinking hot cocoa. That sounds like a great gift.

Update to the update:

The neurosurgeon will see me immediately following the MRI. So, wish #1 is taken care of.

Putting out a call to all of you to pray (only if you don''t mind) that what''s in my head is operable (that''s item #2 on my list).
