It's that time of the year where everyone's asking for a wishlist for Christmas.

What's on yours?

I'll like:

1. A new watch (see pic)

2. More handbags (can never have too many), particularly the LV Klara Vienna

3. New wallet!
4. GPS system for my car (because I am so hopeless at maps and directions)
5. iPod nano
6. Diamonds By The Yard type necklace!
7. Martini set earrings(about 0.80-0.90cttw)i got 2 pairs, 1 from hubby and 1 from MIL!
8. My EC reset (probably have to wait till next xmas

)
9. New briefcase for the thousands of documents I have to lug around.
10. DVD set of 'Desperate housewives', because yanno, I've only watched a couple of episodes and got sucked in - now I need to know what happened

, so I can settle on my comfy couch and watch the whole season in one day

11. World peace.

(haha had to sneak #11 in, couldn't resist - there's a pageant type thing on telly now and u know how those contestants always answers 'WORLD PEACE' when asked what they'll like

What''s on my list? Nada!

My husband bought a plasma TV last month and surround stereo system this week so although he claims I agreed to these items, "to maximize my gift potiential," I am denying this and staying true to my conviction. lol But, my b-day is a week before christmas, so I''m buying a RHR, but I will not enjoy it to any degree that my husband will enjoy his hours of watching men in spandex beating each other up!

My one and only christmas wish is for Ashley to get into the college she just applied to for early decision. We find out just before christmas. I can''t think of anything that would make me happier or her for that matter.

I''m getting an eternity band. The one I''m looking into is going to is kind of like the Ritani endless love. Channel set, with millgrain and also prongs around the itty bitty diamonds, but A LOT cheaper. The ritani one I tried on is $1700 for .34 ctw! (I almost bought it though because it''s so perfect. I''ve kind of learned that my husband doesn''t want to know the truth regarding how much I spend and it would be to my advantage to endulge from time to time!)

Well, my birthday is on Nov.17th and since I have been getting so many things lately, I doubt I will get anything for Christmas. It''s really for the kids now anyway.
But here goes-
1) LV pochette croissant- I got it today ( The LV coussin was just a bonus, but was not on the original list- I need to learn to stick to the original plan)
2) LV wallet- I got it today
3) Acura MDX or Lexus GX470- This we talked about and I won''t get it until next February or March. I will be back to work by then and his car payments will be finished. I told him we should just pay off his car now, but still, with me out of work it makes no sense to drive a brand new car when I don''t actually need it just yet. Once we start taking the kids back and forth to the babysitter''s, it will make more sense to have the two bigger cars.
4) 1 ctw. Martini set diamond earrings- I don''t want these that much actually because I am pretty satisfied with the fakey set that I got, but the real ones would be nice.


OH, and health and wealth and happiness to everyone I know and I sincerely mean this!

haha i love reading everyone's lists...a mix of dreaming and practicality in each!!!

well lets see...here are a few i came up with daydreaming while greg finished making dinner tonite (yummi spaghetti & sauce from scratch!):

1) property taxes paid (i'll do that early dec, so that kind of counts!)
2) new mini cooper (probably more like next jan or feb)
3) new diamond pendant ~.75c (hah probably not gonna happen)
4) upgraded diamond earrings (i'll do this one in nov most likely!)
5) new entertainment center from C&B (again probably in jan!)
6) tiffany knot ring in silver for the right hand (okay this is a reasonable willprobablyget for xmas from Greg or my Mom)
7) LV wallet (again a reasonable willprobablyget ... if I don't buy it for myself first
gift cert to the spa i visit for my massages (yummi and definitely willprobablyget)
9) diamond hoop earrings in .50ctw or something subtle but daily wearish (this is still up in the air!)

I always say that it''s good to want things in life

but what we want we don''t always get!

It''s probably the last xmas I''ll be able to get something extravagant (I say that every yr!!) because we went to see a financial planner, and will really have to put the brakes on ''frivolous'' spending (as of Jan 06

) We want to get the house built by next Sept, and then we''ll need to furnish it, and cough up for the bits that are not included in the building costs (floor & window coverings, lights, etc etc), so that will be a major expense.

It''s fun to make lists like this, because my parents/family tends to go by whats on the list

, so I always make sure I add stuff in there that costs a few dollars so that my little sister can also buy me something from my list - I''ll go "OHH SWEETIE that''s EXACTLY what I wanted!!" and she''ll beam at me and it melts my heart

To be honest, I really havent gotten excited over my own xmas gifts for the past few years. I get much more into what I''m getting everyone else and excited about all of that than what I get. Part of the problem is I used to get disappointed, and I realized thats not really what it is about (yes, I know how cheesy I sound), so I''ve made a real effort to change my outlook on the holiday.

That being said, any of the following would be acceptable (and realistic! because, lets face it, my dream list is never-ending) gifts this year

-- There are two David Yurman rings I''ve been looking at and wouldn''t mind getting one or both
-- Another bookshelf from Room & Board...got a new one this summer to expand and its already filled...I read too much, which leads me to...
-- Books! There are so many on my list!! (Yes, I keep a list in Word)
-- Gilmore Girls season 5

and there are a few other dvds I''d like
-- I could always go for a new purse(s)
-- A new wallet, not sure what kind I''d like though

I''d actually give up any of those to have $$ towards a week in Rome this spring. I might ask for that for Xmas and instead waiting til about February and asking as an early bday gift and try to swing that, hehe...

I think I have a pretty good chance at getting most of those. We''ll see. The list will probably be revised closer to the holidays. And one way or another I think I''ll make it to Rome with in 2006.

Kaleigh -- hope your daughter gets into her early decision school! My old HS has a program where for certain schools you find out in October, so my younger brother got into his second choice, but not his first...

I forgot how hard & stressful that was!! In the end, it works out
