I likr contemporary, but 3 is a bit extreme for my taste, so I''d go with 1 or 2--leaning towards 1 just because of the uniqueness of a large ruby in that shape. Both look prety spectacular!

Hi GW.
Of those three I guess #1 but whats the hurray. There are plenty of stones left unturned.

Thanks for the opinion.

Colorworld
you have got my curiosity up now. How do you mean there are many stones left unturned? Do you happen to know of some nice rubies which you think is worth looking at?

Thanks

I like #1...it''s shape, it''s size, and it''s credentials.

Are you specifically looking for an unheated ruby? If so, I''d double check with the seller of #3 that the stone is indeed unheated. The term: "AGTA certified of natural origin" is unusual.

Gemworthy I have no personal knowledge of any other than a few stones from a vendor with very high prices. They were very nice but for some treatment issues.
You must be very carreful with rubies these days because of issues such as diffusion and fracture filling.
I have not bought from the many vendors mentioned in these forums. Many have and were pleased. If you do a "keyword"search you will find some very nice options.
The quest can be a lot of fun.
