I bought a Signed Pieces 2mm platinum wedding band back in April and have loved it! However it always seem too thin matched with my cathedral e-ring so I ordered a 3mm to see if it went better. Both are the Raphael collection, plain platinum.

I''d love opinions! Which do you think looks best?

First is the 2mm-

The pros of each:

2mm- Is more comfortable (less width on my finger), I think it makes my diamond look bigger, and when I wear it alone, it looks very clean and simple.

3mm- Seems to look more of a ''set'' with my e-ring, more substantial, and since it''s new it''s still polished! haha!

and just for fun- all 3 rings together! (sorry for the blurry pics!)

I actually like the wider one a little more, but if it's not comfortable then I would go with the thinner band. The thinner one looks good too, and we should not suffer (too much) for the sake of our bling!

They both look nice. Sometimes too wide will be very uncomfortable on the hand as you mention. I like the look of the 3 mm the best, but either one would do.

2 mm without a doubt!

makes diamond more prominent and larger. also, for me it looks like the 2 mm is made for your e-ring. don't really know why. and i'm a matchy matchy type. maybe it's because of the thickness of your e-ring. it's too much to add thickness to that with a thick w-band.

also, the shape of the 3 mm doesn't seem the same as your e-ring. it seems more rounded and less matchy matchy. i think the 2 mm band's shape goes perfectly with the shape of your e-ring.

I prefer the 2mm. It sets off your beautiful diamond better and the 3mm seems bulky with your ring in my opinion.

Just wanted to throw in a picture of my anniversary band with my e-ring. It''s so much more beautiful IRL than in my terrible pictures!

Boy that combination ups the bling factor - very pretty!!!

I agree that the 3 looks more like a set, but you have to be comfortable.

I don''t know if this is an option, but I like it the best with your anniversary band! It''s a gorgeous set. However, of the other bands I think the diamond looks the biggest and most prominent with the 2mm band and you don''t really want to be uncomfortable.

I prefer the 2mm as well, however I''m partial to thinner bands.

Your rings are just lovely!

Alright .. I''ll dare to say it. I DON''T like the 3mm with your e-ring *because* it makes it look like a matchy matchy set -- AND -- Overall too wide. ESPECIALLY ''cause you say it''s less comfie too!!

I think both the 2mm & the anniversary band are PERFECTO! The 2mm makes your e-ring pop & your stone look huge ....and the anniversary band is BA-BAM - Blingtastic.

The 3mm, to my mind, is exactly the kind of thing that happens when you buy with your "head" only. "That SHOULD work better". But by eye, NAH!.

I like the 3mm band. But I have to confess, I have a 3mm platinum band so I''m partial :)

I like the 3mm but I think both look good.

I like the 2mm, very pretty look. Seems like it''s a split decision!

Both are great but the 2mm really makes your stone pop....

I like the 3mm better.

Well my favorite is your e-ring with your anniversary band

, but between the 2 plain bands I like the 3 mm just a wee bit more.

I prefer the 2 mm to the 3 mm. The narrower band looks far better to me.

The 2 mm makes your diamond more prominent - I vote 2mm! Beautiful diamond & setting!

I prefer the 2mm. Looks less bulky on your finger and makes your center stone look HUGE!

I like the 2mm and the anniversary band.

I vote 2mm, but I am biased since my Jeff Cooper set is a 4 mm e ring and 2 mm band!

Another vote for the 2mm! Looks much more elegant and makes your diamond look HUGE, I think!

(Also love the anniversary band obviously!!

What a lovely ering you have! I prefer the 2mm band - subtle, comfy and doesn''t detract from your beautiful diamond.

I love your anniversary band with it the best, and love the 2mm band. It doesn''t detract from your ering, and lets it be the star. But I''m partial to thinner bands....

Either!

I think both look great and to my eye, the 3mm doesn''t at all overwhelm your stone. I think the question is, what kind of set do you want? The 2mm gives it an ever-so-slightly more delicate look, while the 3mm gives the set a bolder overall presence. But either way, the difference between the two is so subtle that I can''t really decide which I like better! I guess if I HAD to choose, I''d go with the 2mm because when I wear a wedding band alone, I prefer a simple, delicate band.

I like it best with the diamind band. So if it was me, I''d just want a plain band for when I didn''t want to wear my diamonds somewhere. And in that case, the 3mm would be better for a stand-alone ring.

Oh, and you can have a jeweler flatten the top of that 3mm band just a little to make it look more like the e-ring if it is more rounded on top.
